On June 12, 2025, an Air India flight departed from Ahmedabad, India, heading for London Gatwick but crashed soon after liftoff. Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British national, who occupied seat 11A, survived the collision and was later observed leaving the scene on foot.<\/p>\n

On their X account, Air India reported that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner\u00a0was transporting<\/a>\u00a0169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven from Portugal, and one Canadian citizen. The aircraft crashed within minutes of takeoff and burst into flames.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the Civil Hospital in Asarwa, 40-year-old Vishwash, who has lived in London for 20 years and has a wife and child there, described what happened in the moments after the aircraft lifted off.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly,” he\u00a0told<\/u><\/a>\u00a0Hindustan Times. The outlet also posted Vishwash’s\u00a0plane ticket<\/a>\u00a0on their website.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
