Britney Spears has spoken out after cops greeted her when her plane landed due to a horrifying act she did at 30,000ft.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 43-year-old was returning home from a vacation in Cabo San Lucas,\u00a0Mexico<\/a>, when she was issued a warning by police in Los Angeles for her in-flight behavior, upon touchdown at LAX Airport, on Thursday (May 22).<\/p>\n

After having been given stern words by the authorities she was allowed to leave without officers arresting her.<\/p>\n

During the flight,\u00a0Spears<\/a>\u00a0is understood to have violated federal aviation regulations by lighting up a cigarette.<\/p>\n

Since 2000, smoking has been outlawed on any commercial flight departing from, or arriving in, the US. Vaping is also not permitted on board.<\/p>\n

The Mississippi-born singer has conceded that she was under the influence of alcohol at the time, while on board the JSX airline – which is a public charter operator.<\/p>\n

Spears, who lives in the\u00a0Californian<\/a>\u00a0city Thousand Oaks – which is a 25-minute drive northeast of Malibu, explained that the reason for smoking on the plane was partly because it was her ‘first time’ drinking vodka.<\/p>\n

Taking to\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0late last night, local time, she posted: “Me yesterday!!! It\u2019s actually incredibly funny!!! Some planes I\u2019ve been on you can\u2019t smoke mostly but this one was different because the drink holders were on outside of seat!!! Confession it was my first time drinking VODKA!!! I swear I felt so SMART!!!<\/p>\n
