Human remains have washed up near\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/a><\/span>‘s\u00a0Rhode Island<\/a><\/span>\u00a0home, leaving authorities searching for answers.<\/p>\n

A human leg bone was discovered in Westerly on Wednesday around 9:30am near Everett Avenue, which isn’t far from Swift’s famed Holiday House that she sings about in her song The Last Great American Dynasty.<\/p>\n

‘I think finding a leg is very suspicious,’ resident Taylor Day, who saw police and the medical examiner extracting the bone, told\u00a0WJAR<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The bone found this week was sent off to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation, WJAR reported.<\/p>\n

The discovery has set the wealthy residents of Watch Hill on alarm, as the quiet neighborhood isn’t used to much\u00a0crime<\/a><\/span>, let alone a potential murder.<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019m more aware of my surroundings. I don\u2019t go [to] places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant,’ Day told WJAR.<\/p>\n

Police do not suspect foul play.\u00a0The bone was sent off to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office<\/p>\n

‘My mind immediately went to all the theories that are being thrown around.’<\/p>\n

She’s referring to the rumors that there might be a New England serial killer as 13 sets of remains have been found in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts since March.<\/p>\n

Five each have been found in the Commonwealth State and the Constitution State, while three have been found in Rhode Island, according to\u00a0Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although authorities have said they don’t believe a serial killer is amongst the citizens of New England and no connection between the bodies have been found, it hasn’t stopped residents from speculating.<\/p>\n

‘From what I’ve seen or heard, first and foremost, not enough is being put out there, so we’ll continue to create that serial killer idea,’ former FBI agent, Scott Duffey told Fox News.<\/p>\n
