Prince Harry has made a sad admission about ever retuning to the UK with his family after moving to the US with wife Meghan Markle in 2020.<\/p>\n

It’s now been over five years since\u00a0Harry<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Meghan<\/a>\u00a0made the choice to step down as senior\u00a0royals<\/a>, and move their young family over to live in the\u00a0US<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While their son,\u00a0Prince Archie<\/a>, spent the first few months of his life in the UK, it’s believed that his sister,\u00a0Princess Lilibet<\/a>, has only ever visited once.<\/p>\n

But Harry has confirmed that\u00a0his ‘worst fears have been confirmed’<\/a>, after opening up about his family ever returning to his homeland.<\/p>\n

He recently lost his appeal for taxpayer-funded security, after taking the Home Office to the Court of Appeal earlier this year, and now fears that the UK is not a safe place for his family to be.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a recent interview with the BBC, Harry said: “I can\u2019t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”<\/p>\n

He noted that not having security in the UK was his ‘worst fear’, and meant that his children will miss out on so much.<\/p>\n

He said: “My worst fears have been confirmed by the whole legal disclosure in this case, and that\u2019s really sad.”<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old added: “The things that they\u2019re going to miss is, well, everything. I miss the UK, I miss parts of the UK, of course I do.<\/p>\n

“I think that it\u2019s really quite sad that I won\u2019t be able to show my children my homeland.”<\/p>\n

His goal, of course, is to be able to freely visit Britain, without a worry for his family’s safety.<\/p>\n

Speaking\u00a0to<\/a>\u00a0Hello magazine, a source said: “The goal for Prince Harry is simple. He wants to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so his children can know his home country and so he can help support his patronages and their important work.”<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Prince Harry noted that the Duke does not want preferable treatment, just action that is fair.<\/p>\n

Harry himself revealed that the public would be ‘shocked’ by what information was being held back during the appeal.<\/p>\n

It was a decision made in 2020 by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec), to downgrade both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s high-level police protection, after they stepped down from their senior roles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
