Brian Austin Green has finally addressed the long-standing allegation that he ‘groomed’ Megan Fox.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Hollywood\u00a0celebs<\/a>\u00a0met while filming on the set of ABC Drama\u00a0Hope & Faith<\/em>\u00a0in 2004, after which Green and Fox dated before calling it official by tying the\u00a0knot<\/a>\u00a0in 2010.<\/p>\n

They went on to divorce in 2020, but their whirlwind relationship, which sparked when Green was 31 and Fox 18, has been marred by allegations that the Californian\u00a090210<\/em>\u00a0star had ‘groomed’ his co-star when she was young.<\/p>\n

How Green and Fox got together<\/h2>\n

Speaking on the\u00a0Old-ish<\/em>\u00a0podcast<\/a>, the 51-year-old told co-hosts Randy Spelling and Burgess that he and Fox got together after he\u2019d already welcomed his son Kassius into the world with ex-partner, Vanessa Marcil, whom he had worked with on\u00a090210<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Kassius, now 23, was born in 2002 and Green had planned to marry Marcil that year.<\/p>\n

Yet they called it quits a year later, and Fox emerged on the scene in 2004.<\/p>\n

Fox helped raise his two-year-old son<\/h2>\n

Green said Fox became ‘very responsible’ for his then-toddler, telling the podcast that she was ‘involved in all of the legal stuff that was going on with Vanessa and I.’<\/p>\n

“It’s a lot at a young age,” he continued. “It was amazing, but it was so much responsibility, I think she kind of just got to a point in her life where she was like: \u2018I missed out on being a kid, like, being an irresponsible kid.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019I jumped in at just over 18 years old with a guy that had a two-year-old\u2019.”<\/p>\n

The couple became engaged in 2006, broke it off in 2009, and then got back together and married on June 24, 2010.<\/p>\n

A ‘hard’ break-up<\/h2>\n

Green claimed the situation became ‘overwhelming’ for Fox.<\/p>\n

“When she realized that, she wanted out quickly, which is then what made it hard for me. I understood it, but it doesn\u2019t make it any less hard,” he explained.<\/p>\n

Fox first came to him with divorce papers in 2015 after the birth of their sons, Noah and Bodhi, born in 2012 and 2014 respectively.<\/p>\n

Green said he was sick at the time with\u00a0ulcerative colitis<\/a>\u00a0while Fox had been in\u00a0New York<\/a>\u00a0working on the sequel to\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Out of the Shadows.<\/em><\/p>\n

“<\/em>I couldn\u2019t even go with her because I couldn\u2019t walk, I couldn\u2019t do anything,” Green explained, saying that the break-up was out of the blue. “I had to stay home and I was doing physical therapy, speech therapy and all sorts of stuff.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo the first time she wanted a divorce was when she came back from that. I didn\u2019t even have the physical ability to, like, argue with her on it and fight for the relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that her decision ‘killed’ him, but the pair appeared to make amends a year later.<\/p>\n

Fox becomes pregnant again<\/h2>\n

After they got back together, Fox ‘ended up pregnant again,’ this time with their third child, Journey, who was born in 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cJourney was born. Then we were just kind of back in the wheel \u2026 and it seemed like we were in a good place of like, \u2018Oh, we\u2019ve been through a lot together,” Green said.<\/p>\n

“We can do this. There\u2019s no mountain that\u2019s too high to climb. We\u2019ve got this. This is all figured out. And then when she came to me again wanting a divorce, I was devastated.”<\/p>\n

After 15 years of a somewhat rocky\u00a0relationship<\/a>, Fox finally called it quits for good in 2020, with the\u00a0Transformers<\/em>\u00a0star going on to date\u00a0Machine Gun Kelly<\/a>, with whom she now shares a daughter, while Green got engaged to ballroom dancer Sharna May Burgess.<\/p>\n

Allegations of ‘grooming’<\/h2>\n

On the podcast, Green’s fianc\u00e9 asked him why he\u2019d never tackled the rumors that he \u2018groomed\u2019 Fox when she was a teenager.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it comes from my dad. He\u2019s very good at cutting emotion out of something and just being logical in his choices,\u201d he said in response.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really, logically understood that if I defend myself this one time, it\u2019s never gonna stop. I\u2019m gonna have to defend myself for who knows how long, because people are gonna believe what they wanna believe.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, to me, time is the only thing that regulates that. People spend more time seeing me not being that way and then they start questioning it and they start going, you know, \u2018We\u2019ve seen him for five years. We\u2019ve never once seen him being controlling or hearing any other story from anyone else about.\u2019 It\u2019s the long game of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Green continued: “The grooming stuff, the controlling stuff, it seems like that just continually lessens and lessens until I run into people now that are like, \u2018Yeah, I used to think that, or that seemed to be the case,\u2019 but they just genuinely don\u2019t believe that anymore.
