Kevin Ware Jr. was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in 2021 after he went on the run following the disappearance of his former girlfriend.<\/p>\n
His girlfriend, Taylor Pomaski, was reported missing by family members in May 2021, weeks after she was seen at her own April 25th house party. At the time, the Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office said she went missing \u201cunder very suspicious circumstances and may be the victim of foul play.\u201d<\/p>\n
Witnesses reported a violent fight between the couple during a get-together at his Klein-area home. She disappeared, and Ware stopped showing up for court appearances.<\/p>\n
Around that same time, Eric Zuleger, a longtime friend of Pomaski, told ABC13 that before her disappearance, Pomaski had made an outcry for help, saying, \u201cShe was in danger, and she was in trouble. There was violence; she referenced a gun being pulled on her. She was very scared, very nervous.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pomaski\u2019s remains were found dumped in a ditch in Harris County in December 2021.<\/p>\n
Fast forward to 2025, and Kevin Ware is now being punished for his actions.<\/p>\n
Ware has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for brutally murdering his girlfriend and then setting fire to her corpse,\u00a0per<\/a>\u00a0Click 2 Houston. Ware had \u201ccut her with a knife, hit her with a blunt object, strangled her and then burned her corpse,\u201d court documents revealed.<\/p>\n Pomaski\u2019s ex-boyfriend said he believed she was in an abusive and toxic relationship at the time she disappeared.<\/p>\n
