Brian Austin Green admits the end of his and Megan Fox\u2019s relationship in 2015 \u2018killed\u2019 him as the Beverly Hills,\u00a090210<\/em>\u00a0actor speaks out on claims he \u2018groomed\u2019 the\u00a0Transformers<\/em>\u00a0actress.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After meeting on the set of the ABC Drama\u00a0Hope & Faith<\/em>\u00a0in 2004, Green, 51, and\u00a0Fox<\/a>, 38, dated on and off before tying the knot in 2010.<\/p>\n

The former couple, who were respectively 31 and 18 when they began their courtship, initially broke up in 2015 before getting back together a year later.<\/p>\n

However, in 2020, they filed for divorce for a second time, with Fox going on to date\u00a0Machine Gun Kelly<\/a>, 35, and Green eventually getting engaged to ballroom dancer Sharna May Burgess, 39.<\/p>\n

In a new update, the star has addressed claims that he \u2018groomed\u2019 the\u00a0Jennifer\u2019s Body<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star from a young age.<\/p>\n

On Monday\u2019s instalments of his\u00a0Old-ish<\/em>\u00a0podcast<\/a>, Green told co-hosts Randy Spelling and Burgess that he and Fox got together after he\u2019d already welcomed his 23-year-old son Kassius into the world with ex-partner, Vanessa Marcil, 56.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo she became very responsible for his well-being and was involved in all of the legal stuff that was going on with Vanessa and I, and it\u2019s a lot at a young age,\u201d he began.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was amazing, but it was so much responsibility, I think she kind of just got to a point in her life where she was like: \u2018I missed out on being a kid, like, being an irresponsible kid.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019I jumped in at just over 18 years old with a guy that had a two-year-old\u2019,\u201d Green continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it became overwhelming for her. When she realized that, she wanted out quickly, which is then what made it hard for me. I understood it, but it doesn\u2019t make it any less hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Green went on to claim that Fox initially came to him with divorce plans after the birth of their sons Noah, 12, and Bodhi, 11.<\/p>\n

He claimed he was sick with\u00a0ulcerative colitis<\/a>\u00a0at the time while she was in\u00a0New York<\/a>\u00a0working on the sequel to\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Out of the Shadows.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t even go with her because I couldn\u2019t walk, I couldn\u2019t do anything. I had to stay home and I was doing physical therapy, speech therapy and all sorts of stuff,\u201d he confessed.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo the first time she wanted a divorce was when she came back from that. I didn\u2019t even have the physical ability to, like, argue with her on it and fight for the relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Green claimed the decision ‘killed [him]’, claiming their break-up was out of \u2018nowhere\u2019.<\/p>\n

After getting back together, he said that he and Megan \u2018ended up getting pregnant again\u2019, this time with their third child, Journey, eight.<\/p>\n

\u201cJourney was born. Then we were just kind of back in the wheel \u2026 and it seemed like we were in a good place of like, \u2018Oh, we\u2019ve been through a lot together. We can do this.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no mountain that\u2019s too high to climb. We\u2019ve got this. This is all figured out.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then when she came to me again wanting a divorce, I was devastated.\u201d<\/p>\n

After 15 years of being in a\u00a0relationship<\/a>, Fox called it quits once again in 2020, later embarking on a relationship with rapper and actor MGK,\u00a0with whom she shares a daughter.<\/a><\/p>\n

During the\u00a0Old-ish<\/em>\u00a0recording, Green\u2019s current fianc\u00e9 asked him why he\u2019d never clarified rumors that he \u2018groomed\u2019 Fox from a young age.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it comes from my dad. He\u2019s very good at cutting emotion out of something and just being logical in his choices,\u201d he said in response.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really, logically understood that if I defend myself this one time, it\u2019s never gonna stop. I\u2019m gonna have to defend myself for who knows how long, because people are gonna believe what they wanna believe.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, to me, time is the only thing that regulates that. People spend more time seeing me not being that way and then they start questioning it and they start going, you know, \u2018We\u2019ve seen him for five years. We\u2019ve never once seen him being controlling or hearing any other story from anyone else about.\u2019 It\u2019s the long game of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued to say: \u201cThe grooming stuff, the controlling stuff, it seems like that just continually lessens and lessens until I run into people now that are like, \u2018Yeah, I used to think that, or that seemed to be the case,\u2019 but they just genuinely don\u2019t believe that anymore.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s not because of anything I said. It\u2019s easy for people to say things to defend themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Green added that \u2018actions\u2019 are what truly paint a picture and tell a story,\u2019 before claiming he has \u2018no regrets\u2019 about his relationship with Fox.<\/p>\n
