The\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0is being sued for a whopping $100 million over\u00a0Shedeur Sanders<\/a>\u2019 slide in last month\u2019s draft, though they should not be too worried.<\/p>\n

Shedeur was projected as a top-five pick ahead of the selection process but was not invited to the first round and ended up sliding all the way to the fifth. As a result, Dr. Umar Johnson has urged his father,\u00a0Deion Sanders<\/a>, to sue the league.<\/p>\n

While Coach Prime is unlikely to do so, one Georgia resident has moved forward with his own lawsuit.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0The Independent<\/a>, the unidentified man has filed a suit against the NFL for\u00a0\u201cemotional distress.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0He claims it was extremely frustrating to have to watch less-talented quarterbacks get picked ahead of the former Colorado star, and he wants to get paid for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis guy was projected to be the first or second pick, no later than the top five, and to watch mediocre players be chosen before him\u2026 it was frustrating,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0the individual, referred to as John Doe in the suit, told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Doe, a 55-year-old Colorado fan and the owner of a logistics company, filed the suit in a U.S. District Court on May 2.<\/p>\n

He claims to have no personal connection to the Sanders family but asserts that NFL owners need to be held accountable for the way they\u2019ve treated Shedeur.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd to have all the NFL owners collude and not draft him, it was mentally frustrating and debilitating,\u201d he added. \u201cFor them to believe that they can just do this and there\u2019s no recourse, it has to stop.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The filing also claims that there may have been racial biases at play, which would justify the sum Doe is after.<\/p>\n
