Warning: this article contains graphic footage some readers may find distressing.<\/em><\/p>\n A baseball fan is in hospital in critical condition after falling from the stands at a Major League Baseball game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs.<\/strong><\/p>\n The fan fell from the bleachers onto the warning track at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park during the seventh inning on Wednesday, near the end of a\u00a0game<\/a>\u00a0that was ultimately won 4-3 by the home team but naturally overshadowed by the harrowing incident.<\/p>\n He was treated on the field by emergency services and both teams’ medical staff for around five minutes before being taken to Allegheny General Hospital.<\/p>\n Pirates and Cubs players were seen praying as the fan was transported away from the stadium after the fall, which was captured and posted on social media.<\/p>\n
