Donald Trump appeared to aim a dig at Taylor Swift as he welcomed the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Back in February, Super Bowl LIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs took place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.<\/p>\n

Thanks to touchdowns from the likes of Jalen Hurts, Cooper DeJean, AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, the Eagles came away 40-22 winners.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the Eagles squad arrived at the White House to celebrate their victory over the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

During his speech, Trump took the opportunity to aim a brutal dig at Swift, who is currently dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0by Page Six, the President said: “I was there along with Taylor Swift.”<\/p>\n

“How did that work out?\u201d he asked rhetorically, as the crowd laughed. He repeated, \u201cHow did that one work out?\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in June 2024, Trump labelled Swift as ‘beautiful’ but went on to question her political views.<\/p>\n

He said to author Ramin Setoodeh for his book ‘Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass’: “I think she\u2019s beautiful \u2014 very beautiful! I find her very beautiful.<\/p>\n

“I think she\u2019s liberal. She probably doesn\u2019t like Trump. I hear she\u2019s very talented. I think she\u2019s very beautiful, actually \u2014 unusually beautiful!”<\/p>\n

Trump continued: “But she is liberal, or is that just an act?<\/p>\n

“She\u2019s legitimately liberal? It\u2019s not an act? It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal.”<\/p>\n

During the last US election, Swift sided with Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, she said: “I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”<\/p>\n

In the end, Trump earned a second term as President after beating Harris by winning 312 electoral votes compared to his opponent’s 226.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
