Dolph Lundgren has shared what he dubs his ‘secret’ to a strong marriage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Swedish\u00a0actor<\/a>\u00a0is best known for starring in movies like\u00a0Rocky IV, Creed II,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Expendables,\u00a0<\/em>and officially became an\u00a0American<\/a>\u00a0citizen alongside his\u00a0wife<\/a>, Emma Krokdal, last year.<\/p>\n

Krokdal, who is 38 years Lundgren’s junior, wed the\u00a0Hollywood<\/a>\u00a0star in 2023. Their marriage marks Lundgren’s second, having previously been married to Anette Qviberg for almost 20 years.<\/p>\n

“I have this new thing, I have to give her a hug, a nice big hug, 10 times a day,” he\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0to Fox News.<\/p>\n

“I try to get a few before lunch,” Lundgren continued to gush. “So I still have some in the bank [throughout the day]. It sounds simple and a little goofy, but doing that neutralizes a lot of disagreements and misunderstandings. And it makes us both feel good. That\u2019s my new recipe now.”<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Rocky<\/em>\u00a0favorite went on: “When you have disagreements, somebody wants to be right, but the other person also wants to be right. But you have to make your partner feel good, even when you both have disagreements.<\/p>\n

“That phrase [\u2018happy wife, happy life\u2019] is true. You have to respect each other. You have to compliment each other.”<\/p>\n

Elsewhere,\u00a0Robert Downey Jr.<\/a>\u00a0and his wife of 22 years\u00a0swear by a ‘two-week rule’<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Iron Man<\/em>\u00a0star has been married to Susan Downey since 2003 and shares two kids with her: Exton, born in 2012, and daughter Avri, born in 2014.<\/p>\n

Downey also has a 31-year-old son, Indio, with ex Deborah Falconer.<\/p>\n

Sharing the rule that’s kept their marriage going for so long, Susan previously shared with PEOPLE: “We do have a two-week rule, which often feels too long, but we don’t go more than two weeks without seeing each other and the family being together.”<\/p>\n

Susan went on to credit her job as a producer for allowing her to be more flexible in comparison to her husband’s job in front of the camera.<\/p>\n
