RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race\u00a0<\/em>star and\u00a0Pose<\/em>\u00a0actress Jiggly Caliente has died at the age of 44, her family has said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They had announced on Thursday that the drag performer, who took part in the original\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0competition during season four, had part of her leg amputated due to a ‘severe infection’.<\/p>\n

Caliente, real name Bianca Castro, has also appeared in hit\u00a0LGBTQ+<\/a>\u00a0drama\u00a0Pose<\/em>, and was set to judge the latest\u00a0season<\/a>\u00a0of spin-off programme,\u00a0Drag Race Philippines.<\/em><\/p>\n

A Sunday statement from her family on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0said: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente. Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.”<\/p>\n

The statement continued: “A luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity.<\/p>\n

“She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the\u00a0world<\/a>. Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light.<\/p>\n

“Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever.<\/p>\n

“She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered.”<\/p>\n

The statement also said she was born on November 29 1980.<\/p>\n
