Melania Trump was spotted allegedly advising Donald Trump on what he ‘should’ do in a moment during Pope Francis’ funeral proceedings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier today, the funeral proceedings of the former head of the Catholic Church,\u00a0Pope Francis<\/a>, commenced after the religious leader passed away on April 21.<\/p>\n

Hundreds of thousands flocked to St Peter’s Square in Vatican City to pay their respects including world leaders such as President of France Emmanuel Macron, President of Ukraine\u00a0Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/a>, Prime Minister of the UK Keir Starmer and Prince William.<\/p>\n

Also in attendance was US president\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0and first lady\u00a0Melania<\/a>\u00a0– the pair flying out from Washington, D.C. on Friday.<\/p>\n

While at the Vatican City, Trump was spotted making a particular\u00a0‘seven-word comment’ to his wife<\/a>, however, Melania was also caught making an alleged suggestion to her husband regarding his etiquette.<\/p>\n

During the two-hour long service, it’s reported attendees are invited to turn to those next to them and shake hands as a ‘sign of peace’.<\/p>\n

Lip reading expert Nicola Hickling – from Lip Reader Limited, speaking\u00a0on<\/a>\u00a0behalf of Oddspedia –\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the Express she believes Melania turned round to Trump to say: “You should go do it.”<\/p>\n

The expert claims Melania even repeated herself before Trump’s alleged response: “Oh, alright.”<\/p>\n

The POTUS then proceeded to shake hands with President of Finland Alexander Stubb, alongside President of France, Emmanuel Macron.<\/p>\n

UNILAD has contacted a representative for Melania Trump for a comment.<\/p>\n

If Trump was indeed reluctant to engage in the ‘sign of peace,’ well, it wouldn’t be a massive surprise given the US president’s unleashing of hefty\u00a0tariffs<\/a>\u00a0on countries across the globe – a trade war Trump couldn’t help but mention in the run-up to Francis’ funeral.<\/p>\n

Alongside being slammed online for turning up to the late pope’s funeral\u00a0in a blue suit\u00a0<\/a>as opposed to the traditional black – known for being a symbol of mourning and respect – Trump was also\u00a0branded ‘disrespectful’<\/a>\u00a0for his comments to media as he was leaving Washington DC.<\/p>\n

Prior to leaving, Trump said of Francis: “[He] loved the world, actually, and he was just a good man. I thought he was a fantastic kind of a guy.”<\/p>\n

However, he then went on to discuss how the funeral would also see him able to ‘meet with a lot’ of other world leaders.<\/p>\n

Trump\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0MSNBC: “It’s going to be very interesting. We’re going to meet with a lot of the foreign leaders, they want to meet.<\/p>\n

“Trade deals are going very well. I think Russia and Ukraine, I think they are coming along, we hope, very fragile. And Iran I think is going very well. We’ll see what happens. We’re working on plenty of things.”<\/p>\n

A Twitter user responded: “My goodness. Please tell me Donald Trump isn\u2019t going to try to work trade deals at Pope Francis\u2019s funeral.”<\/p>\n

“Disrespectful,” another added.<\/p>\n

A third commented: “He should be shunned.”<\/p>\n
