JoJo Siwa has candidly opened up about how\u00a0Celebrity Big Brother<\/em>\u00a0has made her realise she’s ‘not a lesbian’.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0singer<\/a>\u00a0has always been incredibly open about her journey with her sexuality, having first come out as pansexual in 2021.<\/p>\n

“Technically I would say that I am pansexual because that’s how I have always been my whole life is just like, my human is my human.” she\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0People Magazine, adding that she still ‘doesn’t know what I am’ and wanted to ‘figure it out’.<\/p>\n

In later interviews, she would refer to herself as gay,\u00a0telling<\/a>\u00a0Entertainment Weekly that she ‘realised she was gay at\u00a0Disney<\/a>\u00a0World’.<\/p>\n

However, while in the Big Brother House, the 21-year-old\u00a0Dance Moms<\/em>\u00a0star<\/a>\u00a0opened up to fellow\u00a0CBB<\/em><\/a>\u00a0housemate and drag queen, Danny Beard, about now wishing to identify as ‘queer’.<\/p>\n

During a private chat in the bedroom, she told the\u00a0RuPaul’s Drag Race UK<\/em>\u00a0winner: “I feel so queer.”<\/p>\n

JoJo Siwa confided in Danny Beard about no longer identifying as lesbian (ITV)<\/cite><\/div>\n

“I’m queer!” Danny responded, prompting\u00a0JoJo<\/a>\u00a0– who is in a relationship with her non-binary partner,\u00a0Kath Ebbs<\/a>, 27 – to confide in them saying: “I’ve never – I think I’ve always told myself, I’m a lesbian.”<\/p>\n

“I think you – I think being here – I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I\u2019m queer,” she shared.<\/p>\n

JoJo continued: “And I think that’s really cool, I’m switching letters! I’ve dropped the L and I’ve gone to the Q baby! That’s what I love about sexuality.”<\/p>\n

LGBTQ+<\/a>\u00a0charity, Stonewall, defines ‘queer’ as ‘a term used by those wanting to reject specific labels of sexual orientation and\/or gender identity’.<\/p>\n

ITV<\/a>\u00a0viewers have since rushed to\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0to share their support for JoJo opening up about her sexuality, with one\u00a0X<\/a>\u00a0user writing: “There’s absolutely nothing wrong with her sexuality switching, she needs to be true to herself.”<\/p>\n

They continued: “JoJo’s so young and allowed to still be confused about her sexuality. It took me a long time to figure out mine, she deserves that same opportunity.”<\/p>\n

And, in a follow-up tweet, the\u00a0CBB\u00a0<\/em>viewer added: “Sexuality can be very confusing, especially when you’re young. It’s more than ok to think a label fits you and then to realise a few years laters that it actually doesn’t.”<\/p>\n

She says she has realised that she feels ‘so queer’ (ITV)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Since the latest season of the hit\u00a0reality TV<\/a>\u00a0show kicked off earlier this month (9 April), JoJo has been one of the main discussion points following former contestant\u00a0Mickey Rourke’s homophobia and inappropriate comments<\/a>\u00a0made towards her.<\/p>\n

JoJo, who is also a\u00a0singer<\/a>\u00a0famous for tracks like ‘Karma’ and ‘Boomerang’, has also struck up\u00a0a close friendship with former\u00a0Love Islander<\/em>, Chris Hughes,<\/a>\u00a0who first\u00a0defended her against Mickey’s grim remarks<\/a>\u00a0at the very start of the series.<\/p>\n
