After securing a $250,000 bond reduction following his arrest for allegedly fatally stabbing fellow teen Austin Metcalf, Anthony is now back home. But not just any home.<\/p>\n<div id=\"qcmgidgb2\"><\/div>\n<p>According to the\u00a0<em>Daily Mail<\/em>, Anthony is living with his family in a $900,000 house inside the Richwoods gated community in Frisco. Not good. I don\u2019t think he should be out,\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0one concerned mother told the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-14615607\/Teen-killer-Karmelo-Anthony-900k-gated-community-home-crying-poor-jail-Austin-Metcalf.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0<em>Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>. Another resident added,<strong><em>\u00a0\u201cThey\u2019re not poor people. That\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The luxury address stands in stark contrast to the defense team\u2019s narrative, which painted a picture of financial strain. Anthony\u2019s legal team had claimed the original $1 million bond was excessive, citing his clean record and the family\u2019s limited resources. Defense attorney Mike Howard explained that Karmelo Anthony couldn\u2019t easily access the $440,000 from GiveSendGo, which covered legal fees and home security.<\/p>\n<p>The case stems from an April 2 altercation at a high school track meet, where Anthony allegedly stabbed Metcalf in the heart during a dispute over a seat. Anthony claims he acted in self-defense. The court granted house arrest with an ankle monitor and 24-hour adult supervision following his release.<\/p>\n<p>The optics haven\u2019t gone unnoticed.
