Donald Trump isn’t known for mincing his words and after a meeting with Prince William, he didn’t hold back.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Prince of Wales<\/a>\u00a0and the then-president-elect met in Paris at the end of last year, with Trump revealing that talks between the\u00a0UK<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0went well.<\/p>\n

The pair met after the re-opening of the Notre-Dame cathedral – which was damaged after a huge fire broke out in 2019, with it since being rebuilt.<\/p>\n

Trump<\/a>\u00a0revealed that they discussed their families and the health of\u00a0King Charles III<\/a>\u00a0amid his cancer treatment.<\/p>\n

At the time, the King had pulled back on his work commitments, with William stepping up to take over.<\/p>\n

The short meeting appears to have left a lasting impression as Trump spoke positively of the Prince of Wales.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the New York Post, Trump\u00a0revealed<\/a>: “He looked really, very handsome last night. Some people look better in person. He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that.<\/p>\n

“And I asked him about his wife and he said she’s doing well. I asked him about his father and his father is fighting very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad.”<\/p>\n

He added: “We had a great talk for half an hour, a little more than half an hour. We had a great, great talk.”<\/p>\n

Trump has previously opened up about meeting other\u00a0royals<\/a>, and was insistent the late Queen Elizabeth II was a big fan of him.<\/p>\n

He previously said: “Many people have said I was her favourite president.”<\/p>\n

According<\/a>\u00a0to Metro, the 78-year-old Republican recently passed on his well wishes to King Charles regarding his\u00a0health<\/a>\u00a0as he spoke with\u00a0Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The Prime Minister spoke to president Trump this evening,” a Downing Street spokesperson told the publication. “The president opened by wishing His Majesty the King best wishes and good health.”<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Trump also opened up about another British royal –\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a>, who currently lives in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.<\/p>\n

The president responded to call for Harry to be deported after a US Think Tank claimed his US visa shouldn’t have been issued, due to his admission in his autobiography of taking drugs.<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0Trump dismissed any plans to kick Harry out of the US<\/a>\u00a0as he\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the New York Post: “I don’t want to do that. I\u2019ll leave him alone. He\u2019s got enough problems with his wife. She\u2019s terrible.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
