Saturday Night Live<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>got the last laugh!<\/p>\n One week after\u00a0Morgan Wallen<\/a>\u00a0abruptly left the show<\/a>\u00a0near its ending after\u00a0serving as the musical guest<\/a>\u00a0on the March 29 episode, the late-night comedy sketch series poked fun at the moment twice during its April 5 airing.<\/p>\n The first Wallen-related joke came during the\u00a0Cold Open<\/a>, when\u00a0James Austin Johnson<\/a>, playing President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>, referenced Wallen\u2019s \u201cGod\u2019s country\u201d comment he made in an Instagram Stories post after the show. \u201cI even put tariffs on an island uninhabited by humans. It\u2019s called Heard and McDonald Island,\u201d Johnson, 35, said as the politician. \u201cMcDonald Island. I would love to visit there. Can you imagine that? Big Mac and a hula skirt. Get me to God\u2019s country, right? Remember that?\u201d<\/p>\n Later,\u00a0Colin Jost<\/a>\u00a0poked fun at the country singer during\u00a0Weekend Update<\/a>, while making jokes about the current financial state of the country. “This was the worst week for the stock market since the summer of 2020. But you have to remember \u2014 back then, the president was also Trump,” he said, adding: “Just in the past two days, investors have lost over $6 trillion.
