Kamala Harris spoke about the fear felt around the US under the Trump administration and made a slight dig at voters during a speech.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following her loss to\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0in the 2024\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0presidential election, like many losing candidates, former vice president\u00a0Kamala Harris<\/a>\u00a0faded into the background.<\/p>\n

Returning to the White House, Donald Trump has made it clear he was going to be doing things differently to the former Democratic leader\u00a0Joe Biden<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His latest move, enacting major tariffs on nations around the world, has certainly been shocking, and saw allied nations bracing for the fallout of this decision.<\/p>\n

Harris appeared to touch on this fear of the uncertainty in a speech at Leading Women Defined Summit in\u00a0California<\/a>\u00a0this week (April 3).<\/p>\n

During this speech, she spoke on the importance of being courageous despite this fear and also warned of further issues along the road under Trump\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cWhen one person, when a few stand with the courage, that is the courage exhibited by the leaders in this room every day.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo have the courage to say I feel fear, the courage to say what is happening is wrong, the courage to say that there is a way that we must chart to get through this.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnderstanding our power in the democracy that we still have if we hold on to it.<\/p>\n

\u201cCourage is contagious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harris went on to condemn Donald Trump\u2019s administration and the way they are running the nation.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cWe are seeing organizations stay quiet, we are seeing those who are capitulating to clearly unconstitutional threats, and these are the things that we are witnessing each day in these last few months in our country.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt understandably creates a great sense of fear because you know there are many things we knew would happen, many things…<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not here to say I told you so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harris then burst into laughter as did the crowd while also giving her applause.<\/p>\n

Representative Jamie Raskin spoke about Harris\u2019 speech and growing frustrations towards Trump\u2019s team with MSNBC\u2019s Jen Psaki.<\/p>\n

Harris even joked as she said she wasn’t using this speech as a big ‘I told you so’ moment (Juliana Yamada \/ Los Angeles Times via Getty Images)<\/cite><\/div>\n

He echoed similar sentiments to Harris and addressed critical comments from voters that the Democrats had \u2018disappeared\u2019 since losing the election.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI was telling everybody back when they were complaining about \u2018where is the Democratic leadership…it takes a while to fully absorb the shock of these events.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are talking about a full-blown attempt at an authoritarian takeover of our country and a purge of federal workers and we are being hit on all fronts.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut now everyone is in a fighting mood.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then continued to speak about an upcoming demonstration that is set to take place in Washington DC.<\/p>\n
