San Francisco 49ers<\/a>\u00a0superstar wide receiver\u00a0Brandon Aiyuk<\/a>\u00a0still needs a new contract as Week 1 approaches.<\/p>\n

Last month, the 26-year-old Brandon Aiyuk grew frustrated with the lack of progress in contract talks and requested a trade from the 49ers. Though GM John Lynch hasn\u2019t at all indicated that he\u2019s open to moving his top receiver, he won\u2019t have much of a choice if Aiyuk remains adamant about a trade.<\/p>\n

For Aiyuk and the 49ers, it would be ideal if they resolved this matter ahead of Week 1. If San Francisco ends up trading Aiyuk, Lynch would have to pivot and make a move for another stud wideout (Tee Higgins, perhaps?)<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0Ryan Fowler proposed a blockbuster trade idea that would see the 49ers send Aiyuk to the\u00a0Washington Commanders<\/a>\u00a0in exchange for 2025 second and 2026 third-round draft picks:<\/p>\n

\u201cWashington boasts a pair of dynamic wideouts in Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson (the team also drafted Luke McCaffrey in the third round), but adding Aiyuk would elevate the group to arguably the best trio of wideouts in the game.<\/p>\n

Aiyuk and Daniels\u2019 relationship has been well documented this offseason, and if the Niners are to move their stud pass-catcher elsewhere, Washington could be the favorite to land his services.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
