Kid Rock has revealed how his trip to the White House with a well-known Trump critic went.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the ‘All Summer Long’ hitmaker announced his\u00a0plans to take Bill Maher to see the president<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maher is known for his outspokenness, having\u00a0taken aim at the likes of Taylor Swift<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0falling out with Howard Stern<\/a>\u00a0over the years.<\/p>\n

Another person he’s been very vocal about is\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0and, with this in mind, Trump-supporter Kid Rock wanted to bring the two together in the hopes of trying to ‘unite this country’.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m actually going to try and unite this country, and I\u2019m starting at the end of the month,” the singer said on the\u00a0Glenn Beck Podcast<\/em>\u00a0last month.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m taking Bill Maher to the White House for dinner. This guy who has done nothing but talk smack about the president since day one.”<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, Maher agreed to the meeting at the White House, which took place on Monday (March 31). Kid Rock and Maher were joined by\u00a0Dana White<\/a>\u00a0as the president signed an executive order\u00a0aimed<\/a>\u00a0at protecting fans from ‘exploitative ticket scalping’.<\/p>\n

Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, has since shared how things went between Trump and Maher.<\/p>\n

Speaking on\u00a0Fox & Friends<\/em>\u00a0this morning (April 2), the ‘Born Free’ singer said: “Everyone was so surprised, so pleasant. And the president was so gracious. He took us up to the private residence.”<\/p>\n

“We saw the Gettysburg address in the Lincoln Bedroom,” he added.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Kid Rock chatted on\u00a0Varney & Co<\/em>\u00a0and insisted that he, Maher, Trump, and White all had ‘so much’ in common.<\/p>\n

He said: “We talked about a lot of things that he had in common. Bill Maher is a big supporter of Trump’s stance on the border, of ending wokeism.<\/p>\n

“The president even asked him about policy and what he thought with Iran getting nuclear weapons.”<\/p>\n

Kid Rock added that they all ‘broke bread’ together and seemingly bonded with one another.<\/p>\n

Maher himself hasn’t said much on the meeting, but teased that he’d reveal all on an episode of his\u00a0TV<\/a>\u00a0show,\u00a0Real Time<\/em>, that’s set to air later this month.<\/p>\n

He wrote on\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0yesterday (April 1): “Hey everybody, thank you for all the interest in my dinner with the president last night – I promise, all will be revealed on the next @RealTimers on April 11.<\/p>\n
