Jennifer Lopez has issued a seven-word statement on the high-profile evening she and her child Emme spent together on Broadway.<\/p>\n

On March 23, a slew of\u00a0celebrities<\/a>\u00a0barrelled down to New York City to support the opening of\u00a0Othello<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Shakespearian adaptation is a limited engagement starring two-time Academy winner Denzel Washington and\u00a0Jarhead<\/em>\u2019s\u00a0Jake Gyllenhaal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Directed by Kenny Leon,\u00a0Othello<\/em>\u00a0has reportedly already grossed $2.8 million in a week,\u00a0as per<\/a>\u00a0People, with a possible film adaptation in the works.<\/p>\n

Those attending the Broadway play\u2019s opening night included\u00a0Freaky Friday<\/em>\u2019s Jamie Lee Curtis, Colman Domingo and\u00a0Jennifer Lopez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The latter, aged 55, strutted her stuff on the red carpet with her 17-year-old child Emme Mu\u00f1iz.<\/p>\n

Emme, whom the \u2018Jenny from the Block\u2019 singer shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, 56, was introduced by their mother using gender-neutral pronouns at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s Blue Diamond Gala in June 2022.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram, the\u00a0Hustlers<\/em>\u00a0actor shared a series of snaps and videos taken of her and her offspring ahead of the theatre premiere.<\/p>\n

In one photograph, a stylist could be seen touching up Jennifer\u2019s hair, while in another she posed with her arm around Emme, who was wearing a striped two-piece suit for the occasion.<\/p>\n

\u201cOthello premiere with the best date ever,\u201d the mother-of-two wrote alongside the carousel.<\/p>\n

Thousands of fans and celebrities have poured into Jennifer\u2019s comments section to have their say on the duo, with Andy Cohen writing: \u201cBest date!\u201d<\/p>\n

During her child\u2019s red carpet debut, J-Lo\u00a0reportedly went full \u2018mama bear\u2019 with the paparazzi<\/a>, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

A source allegedly\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0Page Six that when she and Emme exited the Ethel Barrymore Theater, a huge camera was shoved in the teen\u2019s face.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Lopez] yelled at the guy. She went mama bear,\u201d the source told the publication.<\/p>\n

Last month, Jennifer marked Emme and their twin Max\u2019s seventeenth birthday by posting a sweet montage video with her 248 million Instagram followers.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeventeen. I love you beyond forever,\u201d she commented, followed by two coconut Emojis.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on\u00a0The Tonight Show With Jay Leno<\/em>, Jennifer explained that she and her ex began calling their children \u2018coconuts\u2019 when they were little.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they were little and in their cribs and they started growing hair, they looked like coconuts. It just stuck.\u201d<\/p>\n
