Both Donald Trump and Elon Musk have had fiery responses to news that an Atlantic journalist was mistakenly granted access to classified information about an upcoming attack in Yemen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s administration is currently coming under fire after an incident that saw The Atlantic journalist Jeffrey Goldberg added to a Signal group chat by mistake, seemingly by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.<\/p>\n

Trump was asked about the alleged security leak when quizzed by reporters at the White House on Monday (March 25).<\/p>\n

Most shockingly, the group, which included top Trump administration officials, were discussing an\u00a0upcoming attack that was set to go against the Houthi rebels in Yemen<\/a>, according to Goldberg.<\/p>\n

Trump insisted he knew nothing about the security blunder (C-Span)<\/cite><\/div>\n

He claimed he had seen classified military plans, ‘including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying’ two hours before the bombs struck.<\/p>\n

Trump was asked about this apparent security issue, but simply said \u2018I don\u2019t know anything about it\u2019 before launching an attack on The Atlantic publication.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI\u2019m not a big fan of The Atlantic. To me, it\u2019s a magazine that\u2019s going out of business. I think it is not much of a magazine, but I know nothing about it.<\/p>\n

After asking for more clarity from the reporter, Trump added: \u201cWell, it couldn\u2019t be very effective, the attack on the Houthis was very effective, I can tell you that.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are telling me about it for the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n

In expected fashion,\u00a0Musk<\/a>\u00a0took to\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0to voice his opinion on the matter.<\/p>\n

Musk shared a joke posted by the satirical publication, The Babylon Bee, that read \u20184D Chess: Genius Trump Leaks War Plans To ‘The Atlantic’ Where No One Will Ever See Them.\u2019<\/p>\n

Musk made light of the situation by mocking The Atlantic on Twitter (Isaac Wasserman\/NCAA Photos via Getty Images)<\/cite><\/div>\n

The billionaire tech mogul added: \u201cBest place to hide a dead body is page 2 of The Atlantic magazine, because no one ever goes there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goldberg has already spoken about the incident and told PBS that it is fortunate he was added and not someone who supports the Houthis.<\/p>\n

Speaking to PBS, he said: “If they were going to pick an errant phone number, I mean at least it wasn’t somebody who supported the Houthis, because they were actually handing out information that I believe could have endangered the lives of American service people who were involved in that operation.”<\/p>\n

“The attacks on the Houthis have been highly successful and effective,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement, as\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0by the BBC.<\/p>\n

“President Trump continues to have the utmost confidence in his national security team, including National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.”<\/p>\n
