After J.Lo rightfully corrected a photographer who invaded the space of her non-binary child this weekend, fans of the singer have been reminded of the pronouns that the 17-year-old prefers to use.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the\u00a0mother-of-two<\/a>\u00a0was\u00a0showered in praise following a performance<\/a>\u00a0at the annual Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium,\u00a0Los Angeles<\/a>, during which she brought her teenager out onto the stage.<\/p>\n

At the time,\u00a0Lopez<\/a>\u00a0surprised viewers by introducing Emme – with whom she has previously performed during\u00a0concerts<\/a>\u00a0– using they\/them\u00a0pronouns<\/a>. As the youngster approached the platform, the 55-year-old declared: “The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won\u2019t.<\/p>\n

“So, this is a very special occasion.”<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Maid In Manhattan<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>actress went on to jibe: “They are very, very busy, booked and pricey.<\/p>\n

“They cost me when they come out. But they\u2019re worth every single\u00a0penny<\/a>\u00a0because they\u2019re my favourite duet partner of all time.<\/p>\n

“So, if you will indulge me.”<\/p>\n

Footage of the sweet interaction went viral at the time, with many praising the star – who is also mother to Emme’s twin brother, Max – for her acceptance of her child’s preferred pronouns.<\/p>\n

“Jlo, you are a wonderful mother and you both sang beautifully,” one onlooker gushed on\u00a0X<\/a>\u00a0(formerly Twitter) at the time.<\/p>\n

Another pointed out: “‘They’ is how Emme identifies. This was JLo sharing that information, it’s beautiful to see her supporting her child.”<\/p>\n

“Awww JLo respecting the pronouns,” a third added, as another went on: “Aw I love her support.”<\/p>\n

The ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer shares her children with\u00a0ex-husband<\/a>\u00a0Marc Anthony – to whom she was married to between 2004 and 2014.<\/p>\n

J.Lo lashed out at a photographer to disrespected Emme over the weekend<\/cite><\/div>\n

As we say, more recently,\u00a0Lopez clocked a photographer for disrespecting Emme’s boundaries<\/a>\u00a0on the red carpet of the Broadway premiere of\u00a0Othello\u00a0<\/em>on Sunday (23 Mar).<\/p>\n

A source\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0Page Six that the musician was in full ‘mama bear’ mode when a photographer crowded them as they were exiting the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, using a ‘huge’ paparazzi camera.<\/p>\n

After the lens was supposedly shoved in the teenager\u2019s face, Lopez allegedly popped off.<\/p>\n

“[Lopez] yelled at the guy. She went mama bear,” the insider told the publication.<\/p>\n

Tyla contacted Jennifer Lopez’s representatives for comment on the matter.<\/p>\n
