People have been left confused after President Donald Trump praised his son, Barron Trump’s ‘unbelievable aptitude in technology’ after revealing he was able to complete what seems like a straightforward task.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Barron, 19, is Trump’s youngest son and is currently a student at\u00a0New York University<\/a>, studying at the prestigious\u00a0Stern School of Business<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But it seems Barron is excelling in\u00a0technology<\/a>\u00a0too, after\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0praised his capabilities in a recent interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.<\/p>\n

Speaking about his youngest son, who he shares with first lady\u00a0Melania Trump<\/a>, the president said: \u201cIf you look at my kids, all of my\u00a0kids<\/a>, they\u2019ve been very good, they’ve been very smart.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey love our country and they\u2019re proud of their father.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked which of\u00a0Barron<\/a>‘s talents stand out – politics or business – Trump said it was his technological abilities that were ‘unbelievable’.<\/p>\n

Recalling an example, Trump said: \u201cI turn off his laptop, I said, ‘Oh good,’ and I go back five minutes later, he’s got his laptop. I said, ‘How’d you do that?’<\/p>\n

“‘None of your business, Dad’.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s got an unbelievable aptitude in technology.”<\/p>\n

Over on Reddit, people were confused over the comments, with many wondering if Trump had praised Barron’s ability to turn on a laptop.<\/p>\n

One person wrote: “Reminds me of when my parents would talk about how smart I was because I could put together legos.”<\/p>\n

While another said: “Apparently he thinks his kid is a genius bc of that.”<\/p>\n

Others said it sounded like Trump had implied that Barron was able to access the laptop despite not knowing the password, which makes more sense.<\/p>\n

“It sounds like Trump slammed the lid down on his kid’s laptop and stalked out of the room unaware of a thing called ‘sleep mode’,” one commented.<\/p>\n

Someone else added: “Yeah, I feel like he meant he got past the password. Probably was something basic such as not having turned it off so there was no password.”<\/p>\n

And a third claimed: “Well it was basically he had used a program to disallow his son to be on his laptop. Barron figured out a way to bypass.”<\/p>\n

Trump went on to explain that he sees his kids every day, revealing he’d been ‘lucky’ with how successful they had become.<\/p>\n

“I’m lucky, you have to be a little bit lucky too… They’re good kids and they work hard,” he said.<\/p>\n
