The US White House press secretary recently participated in an interview where the age difference between her and her husband was mentioned. She revealed how they met and what it is about him that makes her adore him despite his age.<\/p>\n

During her appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” in February 2025, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt opened up about her personal life. She addressed the age gap between her and her husband, Nicholas Riccio. While she is 27, he is 59, making him 32 years her senior.<\/p>\n

When Megyn Kelly asked Leavitt to explain how she ended up marrying a man so much older than her, the press secretary didn’t hold back. She revealed that she met Riccio during her Congressional Campaign.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A mutual friend of theirs hosted an event at a New Hampshire restaurant that Riccio happened to own and invited him to attend. Leavitt was speaking at the event, and that’s how they met.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At first, they were\u00a0friendly acquaintances<\/u><\/a>, but then “we fell in love.” Curious, Kelly asked the press secretary if she was apprehensive about his advanced age, and their\u00a0age gap<\/a>. Leavitt\u00a0admitted<\/u><\/a>\u00a0she was, “but he’s incredible, he’s my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend, he’s my rock…”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She also pointed out her husband’s accomplishments, highlighting that he built a successful business. The press secretary revealed that Riccio is now, in turn, supportive of her career and her efforts to build herself. The couple also\u00a0shares<\/u><\/a>\u00a0one child, and the businessman is “the best dad I could ever ask for.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She also revealed something she’s said to him before about their current lives. Riccio’s wife said she jokingly\u00a0told<\/u><\/a> him, “‘I’ve walked into your life and it’s been a circus ever since,’ but God bless him because he’s fully on board.” Leavitt’s husband is Italian, a nation credited for being lovers and romantics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This week, the politician took to Instagram to share several images from her stunning wedding day celebrations. She\u00a0captioned<\/u><\/a>\u00a0the post, “Finally found some time to post a few of my favorite pictures from one of my favorite days! \ud83d\ude0c\ud83e\udd0d\u2728\ud83d\udc8d.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The couple tied the knot at the Wentworth By The Sea Country Club in Rye, New Hampshire. Leavitt revealed that her hair was styled by Samantha Pisani and the New Hampshire-based Salon Pure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bridal makeup artist Sarah Alicea had her looking stunning, while Favorite Daughter Florals provided the flowers for the day. The bride also shared that Img.escape was responsible for capturing her wedding photos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Riccio and his wife also posed together at the bar with drinks in hand, as her loving husband kissed her on the cheek. Above them, a lit white sign\u00a0displayed the words<\/u><\/a>, “The Riccio’s.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Leavitt’s fans have also been privy to another major milestone in her life: the birth of her son. Days after welcoming him on July 10, 2024, at 11:25 p.m., she took to the same platform to share images of her newborn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
