Some of the clothes she wore during these moments were later found strewn on a nearby beach chair, according to Dominican news outlet\u00a0CDN<\/a>, which shared the photos.<\/p>\n Just before she disappeared, Konanki was caught on surveillance footage walking in a white swimsuit cover-up, which was later discovered on a white chaise lounge on the beach, per the images obtained by the outlet.<\/p>\n CDN also reported that the missing student\u2019s sandals were discovered near the same lounge chair.<\/p>\n Sources close to the investigation previously told\u00a0ABC News<\/a>\u00a0and Dominican news outlet\u00a0El Nacional<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0Konanki\u2019s clothes were found on the beach<\/a>\u00a0and there were no signs of violence.<\/p>\n Dominican police also confirmed to PEOPLE that clothes had been found, though they did not share any more details at the time.<\/p>\n Konanki, a resident of Loudon County, Va. and a citizen of India, was\u00a0last seen on video surveillance cameras<\/a>\u00a0with a group walking onto the beach around 4:15 a.m. local time on March 6, per the\u00a0Dominican Republic National Police<\/a>.<\/p>\n She was seen in the footage\u00a0walking arm-in-arm with a man<\/a>, later identified as 22-year-old college student Joshua Riibe, on her way to the beach.<\/p>\n Riibe\u00a0was named a \u201cperson of interest,<\/a>” but not a suspect.
