Donald Trump has bought a Tesla car after Elon Musk\u2019s company has been boycotted by customers \u2013 but the US President won\u2019t be able to drive it as he\u2019s \u2018not allowed.\u2019<\/p>\n
US President Donald Trump delivered some \u201cbad news\u201d while upholding his vow to purchase a new Tesla vehicle \u201cas a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk.\u201d<\/p>\n
This declaration came in the wake of Tesla\u2019s shares plummeting dramatically as a result of an active boycott against the brand, which Trump labeled \u201cillegal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump took to Truth Social after midnight on Tuesday to voice his criticism of the boycott and to announce his decision to buy the car.<\/p>\n
The Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World\u2019s great automakers, and Elon\u2019s \u2018baby\u2019, in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Musk was seen with Trump and his son, X, nodding in agreement as the President expressed his backing for the company.<\/p>\n
Yet, Trump had some comically \u201cbad news\u201d to share.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not allowed to drive because I haven\u2019t driven a car in a long time. I love to drive cars,\u201d he confessed. \u201cBut I\u2019m going to have it at The White House and I\u2019m going to let my staff use it\u2026. I\u2019m not allowed to use it,\u201d he added, reports The Irish Star.<\/p>\n
Trump explained his decision to buy the Tesla as a recognition of its quality and a tribute to Musk\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis man has devoted his energy and his life to doing this and I think he is treated very unfairly by a very small group of people. I just want people to know that you can\u2019t be penalized for being a patriot and he\u2019s a great patriot,\u201d Trump remarked.<\/p>\n
