The trade war between the US and Canada has no signs of slowing down as Trump reveals what his next move will be.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s new tariffs are a response to price rises the provincial government of\u00a0Ontario put on electricity<\/a>\u00a0sold to the\u00a0United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump had previously warned the nation that the US would retaliate.<\/p>\n

Taking to his own\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0network, Truth Social, Trump explained how\u00a0he would be hitting back at Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cBased on Ontario, Canada, placing a 25% Tariff on \u201cElectricity\u201d coming into the United States, I have instructed my Secretary of Commerce to add an ADDITIONAL 25% Tariff, to 50%, on all STEEL and ALUMINUM COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES FROM CANADA, ONE OF THE HIGHEST TARIFFING NATIONS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump also demanded Canada make some changes otherwise he would continue to put pressure on the nation.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cThis will go into effect TOMORROW MORNING, March 12th. Also, Canada must immediately drop their Anti-American Farmer Tariff of 250% to 390% on various U.S. dairy products, which has long been considered outrageous.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will shortly be declaring a National Emergency on Electricity within the threatened area. This will allow the U.S to quickly do what has to be done to alleviate this abusive threat from Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump also made it clear that these new measures are just the beginning and warned that further tariff increases could follow in April.<\/p>\n

He also revealed he was prepared to \u2018permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada\u2019.<\/p>\n

His post went on to say: \u201cIf other egregious, long time Tariffs are not likewise dropped by Canada, I will substantially increase, on April 2nd, the Tariffs on Cars coming into the U.S. which will, essentially, permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose cars can easily be made in the USA! Also, Canada pays very little for National Security, relying on the United States for military protection.\u201d<\/p>\n

He again called on Canada to become America\u2019s 51st state to avoid further trade war issues, something that has proven unpopular in the nation.<\/p>\n

Trump closed his rant by saying: \u201cThe only thing that makes sense is for Canada to become our cherished Fifty First State. This would make all Tariffs, and everything else, totally disappear.<\/p>\n

\u201cCanadians\u2019 taxes will be very substantially reduced, they will be more secure, militarily and otherwise, than ever before, there would no longer be a Northern Border problem, and the greatest and most powerful nation in the World will be bigger, better and stronger than eve.\u201d<\/p>\n
