Travis Kelce\u00a0already has a new support system behind him ahead of the 2024-2025 NFL season!<\/p>\n

At the Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 training camp on Sunday, July 28, the 34-year-old tight end was celebrated by not just fans of his team, but also fans of his girlfriend, pop superstar\u00a0Taylor Swift. As Kelce and other players took part in an autograph day at the St. Joseph, Mo., camp venue, crowds of Swifties also showed up to show their love for the athlete.<\/p>\n

Among the Swift fans who came out to support Kelce, one group even flew in from Dallas to cheer on the reigning Super Bowl champs.<\/p>\n

Terah Lee, a fan who makes Taylor Swift T-shirts for a living, came prepared in a \u201cGo Taylor\u2019s boyfriend!\u201d shirt and a pair of sunglasses made by a friend that featured \u201cSo High School\u201d friendship bracelet charms \u2014 spelling out the\u00a0Tortured Poets Department<\/em>\u00a0song title that fans have\u00a0theorized is about the NFL star.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m obsessed with football obviously, and I\u2019m obsessed with Taylor Swift,\u201d Lee told PEOPLE. \u201cI think it\u2019s really cool [that fans are showing up]. It\u2019s two fandoms that I don\u2019t think anyone would\u2019ve ever expected to converge together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another Swiftie, Rebecca Jones, showed up to camp in a Chiefs jersey reading \u201cTraylor\u201d on the back \u2014 a combination of the names Travis and Taylor, of course. Jones told PEOPLE the pair\u2019s relationship has been a \u201cpositive thing for everyone to look at\u201d and said she\u2019s hoping \u201ctheir love continues to blossom.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it shows how dedicated Swiftie fans are,\u201d added fan Giovanna, who created her pal\u2019s custom sunglasses. \u201cI feel like the Swifties are going to do anything to show their support, even if it\u2019s on the hot side out here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hannah Calhoun, 16, told PEOPLE she drove all the way to the training camp from Lexington, Ky., with her parents just to catch a glimpse of Kelce. She even came prepared with her arms full of friendship bracelets and a sign reading, \u201cTravis I have a blank space, so come write your name.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Taylor and I think she\u2019s a great role model and so I love that my daughter has her to look up to and so we thought, \u2018Let\u2019s do this, Let\u2019s go out and see Travis Kelce,\u2019 \u201d Hannah\u2019s mom Alison said.<\/p>\n

Beyond the many Swifties in attendance, other longtime Chiefs fans also recognized the buzz that Swift has helped bring to the league and the franchise itself. Chiefs supporter Kelli Anderson, who told PEOPLE she\u2019s \u201clived here my whole life,\u201d said she\u2019s been a Kelce fan from before he started dating Swift, 34.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think it\u2019s really cool that he\u2019s bringing so much attention to Kansas City and I just love the two of them together and enjoy watching their love story unfold,\u201d Anderson said. \u201cIt\u2019s cool that the rest of the world is starting to appreciate the Chiefs.\u201d<\/p>\n

From July 21 through Aug. 15, Kelce and the Chiefs are practicing at Missouri Western State University in preparation for the upcoming NFL season after\u00a0winning Super Bowl LVIII\u00a0in February.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars during a\u00a0preseason kickoff game\u00a0on Aug. 10 before the\u00a0regular season\u00a0officially begins on Sept. 5, when they will play against the Baltimore Ravens.<\/p>\n

Prior to training camp, Kelce enjoyed his off-season time with Swift. Notably, he\u2019s watched the singer perform her globe-spanning Eras Tour at several European stops, including\u00a0Paris,\u00a0Amsterdam\u00a0and\u00a0London, where he\u00a0took the stage\u00a0during one of her outfit changes.<\/p>\n

During her\u00a0Tortured Poets Department<\/em>\u00a0set in London, he stepped in for a backup dancer, fulfilling his responsibilities as a boyfriend and carrying her to a red couch that was center stage while wearing a tux and a top hat.<\/p>\n
