No matter how many weird and random roles he plays, there\u2019s a few performances from John Cena that stand out.<\/p>\n

And no, I\u2019m not including his less than a minute as a merman alongside\u00a0Dua Lipa<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Barbie<\/em><\/a>. But his role as gym rat Steven in\u00a0Trainwreck\u00a0<\/em>has to be up there.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s one of the boyfriends who\u00a0Amy Schume<\/a>r\u2019s character has before finally meeting the right guy. And part of their\u00a0relationship<\/a>\u00a0is a rather comedic sex scene when Steven promises to \u2018fill you with protein\u2019.<\/p>\n

But while it all sounds like a bit of a laugh,\u00a0Cena<\/a>\u00a0explained why the scene where he\u00a0was \u2018inside her\u2019<\/a>\u00a0was \u2018real embarrassing\u2019.<\/p>\n

With Steven already struggling to \u2018talk dirty\u2019 and \u2018mix it up a little bit\u2019 as requested, it escalates as he ends up throwing out phrases in Mandarin.<\/p>\n

So, not only is it cringe to watch but apparently it was cringe to\u00a0film<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cena told the\u00a0Club Shay Shay<\/em>\u00a0podcast<\/a>: \u201cAmy is an angel, she made the environment so comfortable, and then when I got the part, eventually they were like, ‘Yeah, it’s a sex scene. We want you to do elaborate and crazy stunt sex, and all those lines you had?<\/p>\n

We’re probably not going to use them, we’re just going to do this stunt sex scene.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He then went on to signal to the crew at the podcast recording as he said \u2018there\u2019s a whole f**king world back there\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it’s real embarrassing, and on top of that, to do a comedic sex scene when you’re making fun of yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having felt pretty embarrassed on set, the WWE legend then didn\u2019t go home and\u00a0tell his partner all about it<\/a>, instead keeping her in the dark.<\/p>\n

Cena was dating Nikki Bella at the time as he explained in an interview with Conan he hadn\u2019t expected to get the role in the first place.<\/p>\n
