David Hasselhoff has paid tribute to his former wife and fellow\u00a0Baywatch<\/em>\u00a0star Pamela Bach after she passed away aged 62.<\/p>\n

Bach was found dead at her home in the\u00a0Hollywood Hills<\/a>\u00a0on 5 March, officials in Los Angeles announced.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office said that the actress died by suicide, the BBC\u00a0reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The screen star, from Oklahoma, is survived by her two daughters – Hayley, 32, and Taylor, 34, – who she shares with\u00a0Hasselhoff<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hasselhoff and Bach were married for 17 years and shared two children together (Jean-Paul Aussenard\/WireImage)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Hasselhoff has shared his heartbreak regarding Bach’s death in a short statement.<\/p>\n

It reads: “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff.<\/p>\n

“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”<\/p>\n

She met the actor, 72, on the set of his hit\u00a0show<\/a>\u00a0Knight Rider\u00a0<\/em>in 1985, while he was starring as Michael Knight in the\u00a0crime<\/a>\u00a0drama series.<\/p>\n

Bach and Hasselhoff got hitched a few years later in December 1989.<\/p>\n

They went on to welcome their two\u00a0daughters<\/a>, before the\u00a0Baywatch\u00a0<\/em>stars announced their split in 2006.<\/p>\n

Hasselhoff cited irreconcilable differences as the reasoning for their divorce, which was finalised in August that year.<\/p>\n

He and Bach were each given custody of one of their children, before Hasselhoff was later awarded custody of them both.<\/p>\n

Daughter Hayley shared a snap of her parents on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0with a white star in what appeared to be a tribute to her late mother.<\/p>\n

During her career, Bach also starred on CBS drama\u00a0The Young and the Restless<\/em>, which is where Hasselhoff first gained recognition in the acting world while taking on the role of Dr Snapper Foster.<\/p>\n

The actress also had roles in\u00a0Cheers, The Fall Guy, T.J. Hooker, Superboy\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Viper.<\/em><\/p>\n

Bach had shared an\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0post on New Year’s Eve, speaking of her excitement for the year ahead.<\/p>\n

She explained she was looking forward to seeing her granddaughter, London, ‘grow’, while adding: “Seeing her smile light up my world is truly the greatest blessing.”<\/p>\n

The post continued: “May 2025 be filled with beautiful moments, laughter, and all the blessings your hearts can hold.<\/p>\n

“Here’s to a year of making cherished memories, spreading joy, and embracing every precious moment!”<\/p>\n
