Meghan Markle<\/a>\u00a0says she and\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a>\u00a0are in a \u201choneymoon period\u201d again as she reignites her creative energy.<\/p>\n In an intimate interview with PEOPLE in this week\u2019s exclusive cover story, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, opens up about how her husband is loving seeing her dive back into the entrepreneurial world with her lifestyle brand As ever and her Netflix series,\u00a0With Love, Meghan.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cMy husband met me when I had\u00a0The Tig<\/a>, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s almost like a honeymoon period again,\u201d she adds, \u201cbecause it\u2019s exactly how it was in the beginning when he\u2019d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it. I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It\u2019s just been fun. This is who I\u2019ve always been.\u201d<\/p>\n In 2014, while starring in the hit legal drama Suits in Toronto, Meghan launched The Tig \u2014 a lifestyle blog where she shared her love of food, travel, and wellness\u2014well before the influencer boom. But as her relationship with Prince Harry became serious, she shut down the site in April 2017 and, by early 2018, deleted her personal Instagram\u2014a necessary step as she transitioned into royal life.<\/p>\n Was it difficult to walk away? \u201cWell, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more,\u201d she says. \u201cSo that was a choice I made at the time, and I wouldn\u2019t change that for a second.\u201d<\/p>\n While Meghan dives into her entrepreneurial pursuits, the couple continues their work with the Archewell Foundation as Harry, 40, focuses on his philanthropic efforts.<\/p>\n \u201cI imagine that it\u2019s the same as it would be for any couple,\u201d she says. \u201cYou have your individual jobs, but then you have things that you share together.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been such a close team for so long that we\u2019re just in it beat by beat with each other,\u201d she shares. \u201cAnd I love that. To be able to be a female founder and do that with my husband\u2019s support means everything.\u201d<\/p>\n Meghan and Harry, who wed in 2018, have settled into a comfortable rhythm at home in Montecito, California, with their children,\u00a0Prince Archie<\/a>, 5, and\u00a0Princess Lilibet<\/a>, 3.<\/p>\n Meghan shares that Montecito has become a protective community for the Sussexes. \u201cOnce you know us, I think you want us to have the same normalcy as parents and for our children as they do, despite however unique our situation is,” she says.<\/p>\n For Meghan, that normalcy includes casual nights out with Harry and friends.<\/p>\n \u201cWe go to a lot of dinners, and not just in people\u2019s homes or private rooms; we just go into the restaurant,\u201d she shares. \u201cI really love that we can just have fun.\u201d<\/p>\n A friend tells PEOPLE, \u201cThey\u2019re very gentle and attentive. There\u2019s a sweetness to their family. You can see that as a unit, they\u2019re all very connected.\u201d<\/p>\n Afternoons are marked by what they lovingly call \u201cday dates,\u201d where they share a quiet lunch together. In true parent fashion, the evenings include \u201cnightcap recaps\u201d \u2014 unwinding with a drink as they chat about their day and make lunch boxes.<\/p>\n \u201cI think all parents in this phase with kids the same age know it\u2019s rinse and repeat,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n They also enjoy catching up on their favorite shows together. \u201cWe love\u00a0Shrinking<\/em>; we just finished\u00a0Black Doves<\/em>, and we\u2019re excited for the new season of\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em>,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n The couple leaned on each other following the\u00a0recent loss<\/a>\u00a0of Meghan\u2019s beloved rescue beagle Guy, who is seen as her loyal kitchen companion throughout the new series.
