Halle Berry has got her own back at Adrien Brody with her own unexpected smooch over 20 years later.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0American<\/a>\u00a0model and actress was the subject of an unwelcome kiss from Brody, 51, when she presented him the Best Actor award at the\u00a0Oscars<\/a>\u00a0in 2003.<\/p>\n

He has since\u00a0addressed the backlash<\/a>\u00a0against his move as let’s be honest, an unsolicited kiss just isn’t okay.<\/p>\n

But at this year’s awards, Berry took charge and laid her lips on this year’s Best Actor winner.<\/p>\n

Brody was awarded Best Actor<\/a>\u00a0for the second time in his career, for his performance in the film\u00a0The Brutalist<\/em>, as L\u00e1szl\u00f3 T\u00f3th, an architect who comes to\u00a0America<\/a>\u00a0to rebuild his life.<\/p>\n

Prior to all of this though, the actor was on the red carpet with his partner of five years, Georgina Chapman, and in the middle of an interview when Berry eyed him up.<\/p>\n

The incident between the pair has caught wind recently, as people have criticised Brody’s actions, but it looks like the floor is level.<\/p>\n

In the video, she can be seen approaching Brody, apologising to Chapman, then taking him for a playful lock of their lips.<\/p>\n

He seemed unbothered, smiling and giving her a peck on the cheek afterwards, before Berry went over to Chapman and gave her a kiss on the cheek.<\/p>\n

Chapman didn’t seem too bothered by the\u00a0viral<\/a>\u00a0moment, seeing the funny side.<\/p>\n

As for the first kiss at the Oscars 22 years ago, Brody had just become the youngest ever winner of Best Actor, at just 29 for his role in\u00a0The Pianist<\/em>.<\/p>\n

When he went up on stage to collect his award from Berry, he laid a kiss on her, despite her not expecting it, before starting his speech saying: “I bet they didn’t tell you that was in the gift bag.”<\/p>\n

But in a recent interview\u00a0with<\/a>\u00a0Variety, he has since admitted: “We live in a very conscious time, which is a wonderful thing,<\/p>\n

“And nothing that I ever do or have done or would\u2019ve done is ever done with the intention of making anyone feel bad.”<\/p>\n

However, Berry has also commented on the original kiss, saying Andy Cohen’s\u00a0Watch What Happens Live<\/em>\u00a0back in 2017: “I was like, \u2018What the f**k is happening right now?\u2019 That is what was going through my mind.”<\/p>\n

Berry admitted she gave Brody something of a pass, as she understood the surreal feeling he was experiencing after winning Best Actor.<\/p>\n

“I was there the year before and I know the feeling of being out of your body,” she added. “I just f**king went with it.”<\/p>\n

It looks like there are no hard feelings at all between the pair, with Brody taking the latest kiss light-heartedly, while Berry poked fun at the controversy around it all.<\/p>\n

Conan O\u2019Brien takes aim at Donald Trump and Drake<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Late night host O\u2019Brien had jaws on the floor with several of his gags – after he\u2019d\u00a0graphically emerged from a nude Demi Moore\u2019s body<\/a>\u00a0in a skit referencing\u00a0The Substance.<\/em><\/p>\n

In his opening monologue, he hit out at\u00a0Emilia Perez\u00a0<\/em>star Karla Sof\u00eda Gasc\u00f3n, whose controversial tweets were widely believed to have torpedoed her awards chances.<\/p>\n

He quipped: \u201cAnora<\/em>\u00a0uses the \u2018F-word\u2019 479 times – that\u2019s three more than the record set by Karla Sof\u00eda Gasc\u00f3n\u2019s publicist.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a later dig on Trump\u2019s disastrous meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he said: \u201cAnora’<\/em>s doing great tonight. Two awards. I think Americans are finally ready for someone to stand up to a powerful Russian.\u201d<\/p>\n

For context,\u00a0Anora\u00a0<\/em>sees a stripper face off with a Russian oligarch and his wife after a shotgun wedding with his son.<\/p>\n

Most controversially,\u00a0O\u2019Brien said around the halfway point<\/a>: “Well, we’re halfway through the show, which means it’s time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile.”<\/p>\n

This, of course, a reference to Kendrick Lamar\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show, where he performed Drake diss track \u2018Not Like Us\u2019.<\/p>\n

Kieran Culkin\u2019s chaotic acceptance speech<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Culkin took home the first award of the night, winning Best Supporting Actor for\u00a0A Real Pain.<\/em>\u00a0This apparently means his wife Jazz owes him two more children.<\/p>\n

He said in his acceptance speech: “About a year ago, I was on a stage like this and I very stupidly, publicly said that I want a third kid from her because she said if I won the award she would give me the kid.<\/p>\n

\u201cTurns out she said that because she didn’t think I was going to win.”<\/p>\n

He then said she\u2019d promised him four if he won an Oscar, before adding \u2018let’s get cracking on those kids\u2019.<\/p>\n

He also dropped the first f-bomb of the night, calling fellow nominee Jeremy Strong \u2018f**king great\u2019.<\/p>\n

Morgan Freeman gives heartbreaking Gene Hackman tribute, but In Memoriam segment causes controversy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Freeman was on hand to introduce the In Memoriam segment, and delivered\u00a0an emotional tribute to Gene Hackman<\/a>, who\u00a0was found dead in his home<\/a>\u00a0alongside his wife Betsy Arakawa and his dog last week.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThis week, our community lost a giant and I lost a dear friend.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike everyone who ever shared a scene with him I learned he was a generous performer and a man whose gifts elevated everyone’s work<\/p>\n

\u201cHe received two Oscars but more importantly he won the hearts of film-lovers all over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

He says Hackman once told him: “I don’t think about legacy, I just hope people remember me as someone who tried to do good work.”<\/p>\n

Freeman added: “Gene, you’ll be remembered for that and so much more. Rest in peace, my friend.”<\/p>\n

Controversially,\u00a0Michelle Trachtenberg<\/a>, who died last week, wasn\u2019t mentioned in the In Memoriam segment.<\/p>\n

Anora\u00a0<\/em>sweeps awards and Sean Baker makes history<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Anora,\u00a0<\/em>which stars Mikey Madison, was nominated for six awards and took home five, including Best Picture.<\/p>\n

Its director Sean Baker has now become the first person ever to win four Oscars in one night: for Best Editing, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture.<\/p>\n

He said in his acceptance speech for Best Original Screenplay: “I want to thank the sex worker community – they have shared their stories, they have shared their life experiences with me over the years.<\/p>\n

“My deepest respect, thank you, I share this with you.”<\/p>\n

Madison also picked up the gong for Best Actress for the film.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Adrien Brody took home Best Actor for his performance as a visionary architect who survives the Holocaust in\u00a0The Brutalist.<\/em><\/p>\n
