He believes this war should have never started, and I agree that if he had been president, it wouldn\u2019t have happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><\/div>\n<p>Marco Rubio reveals<\/p>\n<p>Marco Rubio reveals<br \/>\nRubio emphasized that Trump is focused on ending the war through diplomacy. \u201cWe want to get Russia to the negotiating table and explore whether peace is possible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also argued that the heated exchange was a \u201cpredictable outcome\u201d given the events of the past ten days, stating, \u201cApologize for turning this into the fiasco that it became. Don\u2019t come here and start lecturing us about how diplomacy won\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Doubts About Zelensky\u2019s Intentions<\/p>\n<p>Rubio went even further, speculating that Zelensky might not actually want a peace deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe Zelensky doesn\u2019t want peace. That kind of open undermining is deeply frustrating for everyone involved. He should apologize for wasting our time,\u201d Rubio said.<\/p>\n<p>Vance then criticized previous Democratic administrations for failing to stop Russia, while Zelensky attempted to refocus the conversation on Putin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe killed people,\u201d Zelensky stated.<\/p>\n<p>Vance, visibly frustrated, responded, \u201cI\u2019m talking about diplomacy that will end the destruction of your country, Mr. President. With respect, I think it\u2019s disrespectful for you to come to the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky then challenged Vance: \u201cHave you ever been to Ukraine? Do you see the problems we have?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vance fired back, \u201cI\u2019ve seen the stories. And I know what happens\u2014you bring people on a propaganda tour, Mr. President.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump jumped in to defend his vice president, telling Zelensky, \u201cYou\u2019re in a bad position. You don\u2019t have the cards right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not playing cards,\u201d Zelensky retorted.<\/p>\n<p>At one point, Vance snapped, \u201cHave you said thank you once?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said it a lot of times,\u201d Zelensky replied.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky Responds: No Apology, Wants Trump to Be \u2018More on Our Side\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Fox News after the dramatic confrontation, Zelensky was asked directly whether he owed Trump an apology. He dodged the question twice before firmly refusing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not sure we did anything wrong,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, he did express gratitude for U.S. support: \u201cWe\u2019re thankful to Americans, you helped us survive. I\u2019m thankful to President Trump and to Congress for their bipartisan support. We are strategic partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky also pushed back against Trump\u2019s claim that he wants a war. \u201cNo, first of all, we want peace. That\u2019s why we are in the U.S. The minerals deal is the first step to security guarantees and getting closer to peace,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cI want President Trump to be more on our side. Trump said he will stop the war, and I hope he will. We need to pressure him with Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked if his relationship with Trump was repairable, Zelensky remained optimistic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, of course,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause this is more than just a relationship between two presidents.
