A lip reader has exposed the surprising four-word comment Donald Trump allegedly said to Keir Starmer when he arrived at the White House earlier this week on Thursday (27 February).<\/p>\n

The\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0president and the\u00a0British<\/a>\u00a0prime minister met up to discuss a number of\u00a0political matters<\/a>\u00a0including trade deals, Ukraine’s future and\u00a0Trump’s upcoming ‘unprecedented’ second state visit to the UK<\/a><\/p>\n

However, before getting mic’d up and officially speaking to reporters at the press conference,\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0appeared to give\u00a0Starmer<\/a>\u00a0a pretty bizarre compliment as he welcomed him in.<\/p>\n

According to lip reading expert, Jacqui Press, Trump said ‘How are you?! Nice to see you here\u2026 good journey?’ as Starmer got out of the car.<\/p>\n

He then reportedly added ‘you look good… handsome’ and smiled at the prime minister, Press\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0MailOnline.<\/p>\n

Starmer then nodded in agreement, Press continued, before turning towards Trump and saying: “Thank you sir, let’s do this Mr President.”<\/p>\n

During their meeting, which has since been\u00a0likened to a scene from the hit 2003 rom-com\u00a0Love Actually<\/em><\/a>, Starmer presented Trump with a letter from\u00a0King Charles III<\/a>\u00a0that contained an ‘unprecedented’ request telling him: “This is really special. This has never happened before. This is unprecedented.<\/p>\n

“This is truly historic.”<\/p>\n

The letter in question was inviting Trump to the\u00a0UK<\/a>\u00a0for a second state visit, with the first seeing the late\u00a0Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>\u00a0host the\u00a0president<\/a>\u00a0six years ago back in 2019.<\/p>\n

“That’s a great, great honour. And that says at Windsor – that’s really something,” Trump responded as he accepted the invitation from the King, making him the only elected political leader in modern times to be invited to two state visits by a British monarch.<\/p>\n

Clearly wooed by the\u00a0royal family<\/a>\u00a0member’s ‘unprecedented’ invite, Trump also took the time to say some nice words about Charles: “He’s a beautiful man, a wonderful man – I’ve gotten to know him very well, actually, first term and now second term.<\/p>\n

“We’ve known each other now for a little while. This is not our first meeting. He loves his country. And so, that’s our common theme. He loves his country. And I love our country.”<\/p>\n

Trump added: “And we also have two countries that have gotten along for the longest period of time. Number one ally on each side. We have\u00a0France<\/a>,\u00a0Australia<\/a>, a lot of good ones, but we’ve had a long-time relationship, a long time, hundreds of years.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
