{"id":22776,"date":"2025-02-27T01:20:41","date_gmt":"2025-02-27T01:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=22776"},"modified":"2025-02-27T01:20:41","modified_gmt":"2025-02-27T01:20:41","slug":"donald-trump-says-u-s-will-start-selling-5m-gold-cards-to-admit-wealthy-immigrants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=22776","title":{"rendered":"Donald Trump Says U.S. Will Start Selling $5M &#8216;Gold Cards&#8217; to Admit &#8216;Wealthy&#8217; Immigrants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subheading text-body-100\">The president announced an expensive alternative to green cards on Feb. 25 that will cater to &#8220;high-level&#8221; foreigners, including Russian oligarchs<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-article-meta-dynamic_1-0\" class=\"comp mntl-article-meta-dynamic mntl-article-meta mntl-block pre-content\" data-tracking-container=\"true\">\n<div id=\"people-bylines_1-0\" class=\"comp people-bylines mntl-bylines text-utility-200\">\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">President\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0announced a new immigration plan on Tuesday, Feb. 25, stating that the United States will begin selling $5 million \u201cgold cards\u201d as an alternative to green cards to allow \u201chigh-level\u201d foreigners to enter the country.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_2-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_3-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">For the hefty fee, gold card holders would be granted the right to live and work in the U.S., and a path to permanent citizenship.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_5-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cWe\u2019re going to be selling a gold card,\u201d Trump\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AP\/status\/1894546107520180594\" rel=\"nofollow\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">told reporters<\/a>\u00a0from the Oval Office. \u201cYou have a green card. This is a gold card.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_7-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cWe\u2019re going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 million and that\u2019s going to give you green card privileges, plus it\u2019s going to be a route to citizenship,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd wealthy people will be coming into our country by buying this card.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_11-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">When asked if he would sell the cards to Russian oligarchs, Trump replied, \u201cYeah, possibly.
