In recent weeks, the turbulent relationship between exes Elon Musk and Grimes has been hitting headlines all over the world – particularly with regard to their co-parenting plan.<\/p>\n

As such, many have been wondering where the former flames – who share\u00a0three children<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a0really\u00a0<\/em>stand with one another behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

As well as questions on their recent\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0rows and fiery social media statements, however, some have seemingly been curious about how much\u00a0tech<\/a>\u00a0boss\u00a0Musk<\/a>, 53, might pay his ex-beau in child support.<\/p>\n

It’s a natural question, we guess – being that Musk is one of the wealthiest men on the planet, with billions upon billions in his bank account.<\/p>\n

Canadian<\/a>\u00a0musician Grimes, 36, was first linked to Musk in 2018 and in the years that followed, they welcomed three children together – the eldest being four-year-old son X \u00c6 A-12,\u00a0often nicknamed X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the former couple – who also share a daughter, Exa Dark Sider\u00e6l, three, and a son, Techno Mechanicus, two – became\u00a0embroiled in a custody dispute in Texas in 2023 following their split<\/a>, which has since been settled.<\/p>\n

Business Insider\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0that Musk likely pays $2,760 per month in child support as this is the cap in the state of Texas.<\/p>\n

Following the case, the musician claimed she was ‘going bankrupt’ when asked about any upcoming projects.<\/p>\n

Grimes wrote on Twitter at the time: “the threat of losing ur kids while going bankrupt fighting for them is not very conducive to creative thoughts.<\/p>\n

“I just slept and cried every minute I wasn’t explicitly fighting for my kids during that year.”<\/p>\n

In a separate post, Grimes claimed she’d only be receiving a ‘fraction’ of Musk’s income, despite his mass wealth.<\/p>\n

“Spent a year locked in battle in a state with terrible mothers rights having my instagram posts and modeling used as reasons I shouldn’t have my kids and fighting and detaching from the love of my life as he becomes unrecognizable to me, with a fraction of his resources (or iq\/ strategy experience), all the while I didn’t see one of my babies for 5 months,” she wrote.<\/p>\n

Recently, the pair’s eldest child X\u00a0made a controversial appearance in the White House<\/a>\u00a0with his father, who has also welcomed 10 other children with four different women.<\/p>\n

Grimes took to social media at the time to admit<\/a>\u00a0that she had no idea the Tesla CEO had plans to take their son to the Oval Office.<\/p>\n

“He should not be in public like this,” she replied to another user. “I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”<\/p>\n

In the days that followed, Grimes also directed a public appeal towards Musk,\u00a0imploring him to intervene in a medical emergency<\/a>\u00a0that one of their children was enduring.<\/p>\n

“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis,” Grimes wrote on Twitter, mentioning her ex specifically.<\/p>\n

“I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.”<\/p>\n
