Donald Trump fans have spotted a rather concerning detail in a recent photograph of the president.<\/p>\n

On Monday (24 February), Trump met with Emmanuel Macron on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of\u00a0Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair shook hands several times during their meeting, which lead a number of\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0fans to notice something concerning about the president’s hand.<\/p>\n

Many people have commented on the\u00a0‘bruise’<\/a>\u00a0which appears to be located on the back of Trump’s hand, and the alleged make-up that’s been used to cover it.<\/p>\n

One person wrote on X: “Scrolling Getty and couldn’t help but notice this photo of a huge bruise on Trump’s hand today.”<\/p>\n

While another said: “Some photos over the last few months show bruising on Trump’s hand… Always seems to be on the same hand.”<\/p>\n

And a third added: “Trump has a massive bruise on the back of his right hand. How did he get that?”<\/p>\n

While a fourth asked: “Why does Trump have a big bruise on the right hand?”<\/p>\n

Over on Getty Images, a photograph of the bruise is described as being ‘covered in make-up’.<\/p>\n

“Makeup covers a bruise on the back of U.S. President Donald Trump’s hand as he hosts French President Emmanuel Macron for meetings at the White House,” the description reads.<\/p>\n

It’s not clear what the bruise is related to, but it has been spotted on Trump’s hand before and in previous images of the president.<\/p>\n

During Trump’s meeting with Macron, the French president was forced to fact-check the 78-year-old\u00a0Republican<\/a>\u00a0leader as he tried to claim that Ukraine had taken advantage of\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0support during its defence against Russia, with Trump claiming it was now time for the States to be paid back during a press conference in Washington.<\/p>\n

In an interview, Macron told reporters: “This war cost all of us a lot of\u00a0money<\/a>, and this is the responsibility of Russia because the aggressor is Russia.”<\/p>\n

Trump then interjected, stating with total confidence that EU aid to Ukraine was all in the form of loans: “Just so you understand, Europe is loaning the money to Ukraine. They get their money back.”<\/p>\n

It was at this point that Macron interrupted Trump by placing his hand on his wrist as he said: “No. To be frank, we paid 60 percent of the total effort. Like the US, loans, guarantees, grants, and we provided real money.”<\/p>\n

He added: “If at the end of the negotiation, they are ready to give it to us, super, it will loan at the end of the day, and we will have paid for that.”<\/p>\n
