Kelce was considering hanging up his cleats after a Hall of Fame-bound career, a source prevously shared with The U.S. Sun.<\/p>\n

That came after the devastating 40-22 defeat to the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>\u00a0in the\u00a0Super Bowl<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The loss ended the\u00a0Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0bid for a historic three-peat, which would have been a first in NFL\u00a0history<\/span>.<\/p>\n

But the Chiefs’ general manager, Brett Veach, has announced Kelce will be back for the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n

He said\u00a0Kelce<\/a>\u00a0was \u201cfired up\u201d about entering the final year of his contract, and playing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe left it as, he\u2019d be back and we\u2019re excited to get him back and get him going,” he added.<\/p>\n

According to NFL insider\u00a0Ian Rapoport<\/a>, Veach made the declaration while at the NFL Combine.<\/p>\n

The combine begins at the Indianapolis Colt’s Lucas\u00a0Oil<\/span>\u00a0Stadium later this week.<\/p>\n

It is understood Kelce had been in talks with the team,\u00a0family<\/span>\u00a0and friends over his\u00a0future<\/span>\u00a0for weeks.<\/p>\n
