Taylor Swift has reportedly received yet another unexpected blow after being mercilessly booed at the Super Bowl earlier this month (9 February).<\/p>\n

Swifties<\/a>\u00a0across the globe were beside themselves when the 35-year-old ‘Cruel Summer’\u00a0singer<\/a>\u00a0endured quite the shock when she turned up to the major\u00a0sporting<\/a>\u00a0event to support her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend,\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/a>, only to be\u00a0met with an eruption of boos when she appeared up on the jumbotron<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Taylor\u00a0handled the incredibly awkward situation like a pro<\/a>, it’s clear she was made to feel super uncomfortable and confused by the ordeal, hence why she mouthed: “Wait… what is going on?”,\u00a0according to a lip reader<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And, just a few weeks later, Taylor is said to have suffered yet another blow.<\/p>\n

According to the sports gaming site\u00a0SportsMillions<\/a>, she has lost more than 144k followers on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0since the\u00a0Super Bowl<\/a>\u00a0blunder.<\/p>\n

The backlash is speculated to be tied to her growing\u00a0political influence<\/a>, with a number of conservatives openly criticising her role in public discourse about political matters.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Travis has interestingly gained over 12,370 new followers post-Super Bowl despite losing 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles,\u00a0Social Blade<\/a>\u00a0reports.<\/p>\n

Despite the loss in followers, it’s clear Swifties are remaining loyal to Taylor with many taking to\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0to share their support.<\/p>\n

One X user sarcastically penned: “I’m sure it keeps her awake at night…”<\/p>\n

“She\u2019ll be just fine – millions love her,” wrote a second, while another hit out: “You really think she cares??”<\/p>\n

And a final fan added: “Uhmm. 150k is like 1 follower to her. LOL.”<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, Taylor has 282 million Instagram followers.<\/p>\n

A body language expert previously weighed in on\u00a0what he reckons Taylor felt when she was being booed by the crowd<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of\u00a0Slingo<\/a>, Darren Stanton told Tyla: “At the point the crowd starts booing, Taylor\u2019s eyes open wide. Initially, we see a combination of shock, disbelief and feeling pretty embarrassed.<\/p>\n

“She tries to laugh it off but it\u2019s clearly caught her off guard and hit a nerve.”<\/p>\n

He continued: “Ice Spice does a shushing motion with her finger, as if to tell the crowd to be quiet, as she\u2019s aware of Taylor\u2019s feelings and is embarrassed for her.<\/p>\n

“Ice Spice then looks at Taylor to see her reaction to being booed.”<\/p>\n

At this point, Darren explains that we see Ice Spice tilt and dip her head down which ‘denotes shame’.<\/p>\n

“She\u2019s feeling mortified for Taylor,” the body language expert claimed. “She\u2019s trying to help her get past the awkward moment as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

“In the short response, she shows a massive masking smile. These are normal, genuine reactions from Taylor, it\u2019s real emotion and she does absolutely feel embarrassed here.”<\/p>\n

Darren went on to point out that Taylor tucked her chin in which is apparently an indicator she ‘wants to make herself physically smaller, and shows her upset at the boos’.<\/p>\n

“She knows they\u2019re not there for her, but this wasn\u2019t the response she was expecting,” he carried on. “This gesture comes from us feeling internally affected, and is something people do as a way of reassurance.<\/p>\n
