The creator of\u00a0Suits<\/em>\u00a0revealed that Meghan Markle ‘always’ has an ‘open invitation’, as the producer spoke on the red carpet for the show’s spinoff premiere.<\/p>\n

Meghan Markle<\/a>\u00a0left her\u00a0iconic role of\u00a0Suits<\/em>‘ Rachel Zane<\/a>\u00a0in 2018, ahead of marrying\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a>\u00a0and joining the\u00a0Royal Family<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In their first joint interview as a couple, Meghan spoke about her exit from the show, describing it as ‘a new chapter’.<\/p>\n

She said: “I don\u2019t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It\u2019s a new chapter, right?<\/p>\n

“And also, keep in mind, I\u2019ve been working on [Suits<\/em>] for seven years. We were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about her role as a working royal, prior to the pair stepping down in 2020, Meghan added: “I\u2019ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I\u2019ve done there, and now it\u2019s time to work with [Harry] as a team.<\/p>\n

“I think what\u2019s been really exciting as we talk about the transition out of my career and into my role is the causes that are really important to me that I can focus even more energy on.”<\/p>\n

Suits<\/em>\u00a0recently premiered the spinoff version of the show,\u00a0Suits LA<\/em>, but the producer hinted that he would be happy for Meghan to return to her iconic role.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the red carpet, the creator Aaron Korsh said: “So, look, to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor.<\/p>\n

“I think for me that’s a little … My brain blows up at the thought of that.<\/p>\n

“So I think it blows up the world too much.”<\/p>\n

But he didn’t completely hate the idea, as he added: “Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back.”<\/p>\n

He was then asked if the invitation is always open, to which he resounded: “Of course. Of course. Always. But I think realistically, it would be too much of an explosion of the fourth wall to do that. Yeah.”<\/p>\n

But the idea of Meghan making a return to acting might not be as impossible as people think, as she is set to release a new Netflix series on 4 March –\u00a0With Love, Meghan<\/em>.<\/p>\n
