Travis Kelce<\/a>\u00a0got emotional while expressing gratitude for his support system shortly after the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u2019 devastating\u00a0Super Bowl<\/a>\u00a0loss.<\/p>\n While discussing the outcome of the NFL championship game \u2014 the Chiefs\u00a0lost<\/a>\u00a0to the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>\u00a022-40 \u2014 with brother\u00a0Jason Kelce<\/a>\u00a0on the latest episode of their podcast,\u00a0New Heights<\/em><\/a>, Travis, 35, congratulated the champs and thanked his \u201cloved ones\u201d for their support.<\/p>\n \u201cIt wasn’t the play calls, it was a cumulative effort of everybody just not finding a way to get it done, man,\u201d Travis said of the game in the episode, which released on Wednesday, Feb. 12 \u2014 just three days after the team’s devastating loss.<\/p>\n “And to happen on the biggest stage sucks, but to have it happen for the second time in my career on the biggest stage, man, it’s a tough pill to swallow. It’s a hard reality, man,” he went on, getting visibly choked up.<\/p>\n Travis continued, \u201cI love my teammates. I love my coaches. Chiefs Kingdom, I’m sorry for how it ended but, you know it\u2019s \u2026 f—.”<\/p>\n The Chiefs tight end then switched gears a bit, focusing on the positives, including everyone who showed up to cheer him on at the Feb. 9 game. His girlfriend\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/a>, parents\u00a0Donna and Ed Kelce<\/a>\u00a0supported him, along with his brother (and co-host) Jason, 37 \u2014 though the NFL alum’s\u00a0allegiance was torn between Travis and his former team<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI have a beautiful life,\u201d Travis told his brother. \u201cI have a beautiful life, man. I have loved ones. I have the most amazing family in the world that supports me in everything that I do, and they were all there, you know, cheering me on and hoping for the best on Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI just have to tip my hat to the Eagles,\u201d he concluded. \u201cThey were firing on all cylinders coming out, and it just felt like we just never had control over what was going on in that game.\u201d<\/p>\n Emotions were high all around during the post-Super Bowl\u00a0New Heights<\/em>\u00a0episode, which also saw Jason\u00a0break down in tears while clearing up the misconception<\/a>\u00a0that he wasn\u2019t rooting for his sibling at the championship game.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew it was going to be weird going into it. A lot of people in that building \u2014 coaches, friends, teammates that you’ve gone through adversity with \u2014 and it really makes you very, very close,\u201d the retired NFL star continued. \u201cAnd then on the other hand,\u00a0you have your brother<\/a>, and I’ve always supported you. I’ve always wanted you to win.\u201d<\/p>\n Echoing his older brother \u2014 and recognizing his support \u2014 Travis said, \u201cEvery step of the way,\u201d as Jason continued, \u201cAnd I wanted you to win this game. I thought I made that clear.\u201d Added the tight end: \u201cYou made it clear to me.\u201d<\/p>\n It \u201cfelt like,\u201d no matter who he cheered for, he \u201ccouldn’t be right,\u201d Jason went on to explain as Travis assured him that he didn’t have to explain himself, noting that both him and his wife,\u00a0Kylie Kelce<\/a>, spent years contributing to both the Philadelphia team and community at large.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, and all that is true,\u201d Jason said, getting visibly emotional. \u201cWe are still very much attached to this organization, which is why there is part of me that obviously is very happy and proud that they have won this game.
