Joe Biden\u2019s time as president was truly a sleeper.<\/p>\n

Biden, 82, took more time off than any other US president in modern history, spending 577 of his 1,463 days in office \u2013 or 39% of his presidency \u2014 on vacation, according to shocking new data compiled by the Republican National Committee.<\/p>\n

The average American \u2014 who gets 11 paid vacation days a year \u2014 would have to work 52 years to rack up as much down time as Biden scored in his four years.<\/p>\n

\u201cConsidering how awful his misguided policies were and the various crises they created, from the border to inflation, imagine the damage he would have done if he worked every day?\u201d quipped Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island\/Brooklyn). \u201cI\u2019m not sure if we should be mad or thankful he worked so little.\u201d<\/p>\n

That staggering tally includes R&R 43 of the 70 days \u2014 or 61% \u2014 after being\u00a0pressured by fellow Dems in July 21 to drop his re-election bid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s relaxation ratio outstripped the previous Vacationer-in Chief, George H.W. Bush,\u00a0who spent 37% of his presidency<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 543 of 1,461 days \u2013 away from the White House.<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s out-of-office ratio far surpasses time off taken by Trump \u2014 who spent 26% of his first term away from Washington, D.C. \u2014\u00a0381 of his 1,461 days in office,<\/a>\u00a0records show.<\/p>\n

Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama vacationed for just 11% of their two-term presidencies \u2014 and workhorse Jimmy Carter took only 79 days of breaks, accounting for 5% of his single term in office.<\/p>\n

George W. Bush spent 1,020 \u2013 or 35% \u2014 of his 2,922 days in office away from DC in his two terms, including plenty of time at his Texas ranch,\u00a0according to tallies by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.<\/a><\/p>\n

Biden had already been enjoying massive amounts of time at his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, DE before former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other once-loyal cronies bumped him off the party\u2019s presidential ticket in favor of VP Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n

In September 2023, The Post broke the news that Biden was on pace to take vacation 40% of his time as president.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

He then spent most of the next two months vacationing there, California\u2019s wine region in Santa Ynez Valley, the presidential retreat at Camp David, and at his other home in Wilmington, DE, records show.<\/p>\n

This included taking a jaw-dropping 23 straight days off from Aug. 8 to Sept. 2.<\/p>\n

Biden took vacations to Nantucket in late November and to St. Croix, Virgin Islands, in late December, he did show up to work most of his last two months in the office.<\/p>\n

During that time, he issued the most presidential pardons and commutations in U.S. history \u2014 including\u00a0pardoning his son Hunter Biden,\u00a0<\/a>who was facing prison sentences on federal felony gun and tax convictions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to the mandate delivered by voters in November, Joe Biden and [former Vice President] Kamala Harris are now on a permanent vacation,\u201d said RNC Communications Director Zach Parkinson. \u201cAnd thanks to President Trump, our country is back on track.\u201d<\/p>\n
