As\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/a>\u00a0mulls his future in the NFL, one teammate has a prediction that \u201che\u2019ll be back.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a guest spot on FS1\u2019s\u00a0The Facility<\/em><\/a>, Chiefs defensive end\u00a0Charles Omenihu<\/a>\u00a0said he believes the 35-year-old tight end will ultimately decide to return for his 13th season in the league.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a Hall of Famer from the moment he says, \u2018I\u2019m done,\u2019 \u201d Omenihu, 27, said. \u201cBut I think Trav has a lot left. I think Trav is an extreme competitor. I think he\u2019s somebody that loves the game. And I think in the storied career that he\u2019s had, going out like that, in my opinion, wouldn\u2019t be something that he would do.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the eve of Super Bowl 2025, the\u00a0New Heights<\/em>\u00a0podcaster offered his own perspective in an interview with\u00a0Westwood One Sports<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday, Feb. 8.<\/p>\n

\u201dI think I found it all. I just gotta, you know, keep it all,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cI absolutely love where I am in life. I\u2019m the happiest I\u2019ve ever been. I\u2019m enjoying coming in to work and what I do for a profession in my career. And I have an unbelievable support of family and friends who are chasing me down here for yet another Super Bowl,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

But after\u00a0the Philadelphia Eagles stunned the defending champs<\/a>\u00a0and upended the team\u2019s attempt to three-peat, the athlete’s actions sparked retirement talk.<\/p>\n

Kelce was heard along the sidelines<\/a>\u00a0towards the end of the game praising his good friend and quarterback\u00a0Patrick Mahomes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Forever dawg. You know that,\u201d Kelce told the signal-caller. “I owe you a lot for what you’ve done.”<\/p>\n

And while Kelce cut short a session with members of the media after the game before the topic could be raised, Mahomes addressed the question head-on, telling reporters that he would “let Travis make that decision on his own.\u201d<\/p>\n

“He’s given so much to this team and to the NFL,” Mahomes, 29, said. “And he’s been such a joy, not only for me to work with, but for people to watch.”<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

According to\u00a0a report<\/a>\u00a0from The Athletic, Kelce has until March 14 to tell the team whether he\u2019ll return. On March 15, he\u2019s due an $11.5 million roster bonus.<\/p>\n

For Omenihu at least, the decision is clear-cut.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis would be my message to Trav: \u2018Big dog, we \u2014 the whole organization \u2014 can\u2019t go out like that,\u2019 \u201d he said on FS1.<\/p>\n
