Despite increasing backlash, Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson doubled down on his hate towards\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Super Bowl 2025 champion \u2014 who once played alongside\u00a0Jason Kelce<\/a>, whose brother\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/a>\u00a0dates the superstar \u2014 wore a\u00a0sweatshirt<\/a>\u00a0to the team\u2019s victory parade on Friday, Feb. 14 that read: \u201cSwifties can LIX my balls.\u201d<\/p>\n

This followed a post on Monday, Feb. 10 in which Gardner-Johnson posted an Instagram Story mocking Travis, insinuating he should have stayed with his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole rather than date Swift to win the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The safety’s initial post led to a flood of backlash from fans on all sides, from Swifties to Eagles supporters. And in the days since, his mother’s restaurant in Florida has been inundated with negative reviews on Yelp.<\/p>\n

Gardner\u2019s controversial hoodie comes days after the \u201cFortnight\u201d singer was booed when she appeared on the Jumbotron at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans during the game on Sunday, Feb. 9.<\/p>\n

It was not the same response that the venue had\u00a0when it displayed a giant friendship bracelet<\/a>\u00a0for her Eras Tour stop there in October.<\/p>\n

During the Super Bowl, Swift, 35, looked surprised but brushed off the boos from the stadium\u2019s predominant Eagles contingent.<\/p>\n

The singer turned to her pal, rapper\u00a0Ice Spice<\/a>, and longtime friend\u00a0Ashley Avignone<\/a>\u00a0giving the crowd a bit of side-eye as the group shook off the negativity.<\/p>\n

In the days before the big game, Swift was seen seemingly\u00a0enjoying the Big Easy<\/a>, going to dinner alongside her boyfriend tight end and Chiefs quarterback\u00a0Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u00a0and his wife,\u00a0Brittany Mahomes<\/a>, and taking in other sights with friends and family members.<\/p>\n

The negative response to the music superstar perplexed at least one member of the Eagles:\u00a0Saquon Barkley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an interview on\u00a0The Howard Stern Show<\/em><\/a>, the star running back said he was disappointed by the crowd booing Swift at the game.<\/p>\n

“I remember that they showed her on the Jumbotron and she got booed. I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there,” he told Stern, who agreed.<\/p>\n

For Barkley, the Taylor Swift Effect has been a real thing.<\/p>\n

“She’s made the game bigger,” Barkley noted, and added, “We’re trying to expand the game and you know, her being a part of it’s only helping that.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
