Fans have called for a country superstar to play the Super Bowl next year after what has been labelled the \u2018worst halftime show ever\u2019.<\/p>\n
Kendrick Lamar\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans on Sunday was not what the fans were hoping for.<\/p>\n
The 37-year-old took to the stage before the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n
Starting his performance crouching on top of a car, after being introduced by Samuel L. Jackson dressed up as Uncle Sam, the rapper sang his popular hit \u2018Not Like Us\u2019 where he calls Drake a \u2018Certified pedophile\u2019. The \u2018God\u2019s Plan\u2019 singer is currently suing Universal Music Group over the song.<\/p>\n
The musician decided to leave out the word so as to avoid more legal action but said to the audience \u2018I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue.\u2019<\/p>\n
Kendrick went on to perform a medley of his hit songs before being joined by SZA.<\/p>\n
He also sang two other controversial lines including \u2018Say Drake, I hear you like them young\u2019 and \u2018trying to strike a chord and it\u2019s probably a minor,\u2019\u00a0to which the crown sang along.<\/p>\n
He also wear a large letter \u2018a\u2019 on a chain around his neck, in reference to \u2018A minor\u2019.<\/p>\n
Drake has denied allegations and responded to the diss track by releasing his own, \u2018The Heart Part 6\u2019 where he says his was \u2018not a name you gon\u2019 see on no sex offender list\u2019.<\/p>\n
At one point of the show, a man carrying a Palestinian flag attempted to storm on stage but was intercepted by security.<\/p>\n
At another point, Jackson joined him back on stage and said \u2018Too loud, too reckless, too ghetto. Mr. Lamar, do you really know how to play the game?\u2019<\/p>\n
He performed \u2018wacced out murals\u2019, \u2018Bodies\u2019, \u2018Squabble\u2019, \u2018Euphoria\u2019, \u2018Humble\u2019, \u2018DNA\u2019, \u2018man at the garden\u2019, and \u2018Peekaboo\u2019 by himself, before he was joined by SZA.<\/p>\n
The duo performed their collabs \u2018Luther\u2019 and \u2018All the Stars\u2019.<\/p>\n
Kendrick was also joined on stage by DJ Mustard during the show.<\/p>\n
He finished off his performance with the song \u2018Tv Off\u2019.<\/p>\n
Fans were not impressed with the performance with one person writing on social media; \u2018worst halftime show ever not a fan.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018I genuinely can\u2019t tell if I\u2019m being biased against Kendrick but I think this is the worst halftime show I\u2019ve seen in a minute,\u2019 another added.<\/p>\n
