A new congressional task force has been assembled after Donald Trump signed an order related to the declassification of files on the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trump, who released a collection of documents related to Kennedy’s assassination during the first year of his initial presidential term, has vowed to fix every single crisis facing the United States with “historic speed and strength”.<\/p>\n

One of his first promises was to declassify documents related to three of the most speculated-about and consequential assassinations in US history.<\/p>\n

In fact, during his final speech before becoming president for a second time, the 78-year-old said: \u201cIn the coming days, we are going to make public remaining records related to the assassinations of President John F Kennedy, his brother Robert F Kennedy, as well as Dr Martin Luther King Jr and other topics of great public interest.”<\/p>\n

As mentioned above, Trump sanctioned the release of documents relating to JFK’s assassination during his first term but he eventually backed down from plans to release more revealing documents after pressure from the CIA and FBI not to go further.<\/p>\n

A large portion of the documents were said to contain sensitive information relating to current or past government employees whose security could have been compromised by their release.<\/p>\n

After confirming he and his administration would be looking to release the records pertaining to the assassinations, comments made by Trump in October on\u00a0Joe Rogan<\/a>‘s podcast re-emerged.<\/p>\n

“If I win, I am just going to open them up,” Trump said at the time. “I think it\u2019s just going to be just fine to open it. It\u2019s going to be time. It\u2019s a cleansing; it\u2019s really a cleansing. I\u2019m going to do it. I\u2019m going to do it almost immediately upon entering office.”<\/p>\n

He added: “I opened them up partially. I was met with \u2014 from good people, I mean, you know, look at me, good people, people that were well-meaning, Mike Pompeo was one of them, he\u2019s a good person.<\/p>\n

“Uh, they called me they said \u2018Sir, would rather, have you not.\u2019 After \u2014 and I did open them, but I was asked by some people not to open them.<\/p>\n

“There\u2019s a Martin Luther King file too that they\u2019d like to see; I don\u2019t know if you know, but there is that. But JFK in particular. A lot of good people called me. People you would find reasonable people, and they asked me not to do it, so I said, \u2018Well, we will close it for another time’.”<\/p>\n

Now, a congressional task force led by Anna Paulina Luna has been assembled to declassify documents and expose \u201cfederal secrets\u201d, which includes the release of Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s \u201cclient list.\u201d<\/p>\n
