Brittany Mahomes was left emotional at a poignant tribute to her husband Patrick and their family on Tuesday night, days after the Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n

The game, which the Chiefs lost 40-22, fell against the backdrop of an emotional time away from the field for the Mahomes family.<\/p>\n

In January, the 29-year-old Brittany gave birth to her and Patrick\u2019s third child, their second daughter named Golden Raye.<\/p>\n

But soon after, the Chiefs quarterback\u2019s mom Randy revealed her father and Patrick\u2019s grandfather required hospice care. She said before the Super Bowl that he was \u2018hanging on\u2019 to see his grandson play in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Now, two days after the game, an infant sleep coach that the Mahomes family have worked with to help their young children paid tribute to them on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Jenna Artis wrote on Instagram: \u2018Not only is Patrick a standout football player, changing the game with his talent and integrity both on and off the field, but he\u2019s also redefining what fatherhood looks like \u2013 even with a full plate.<\/p>\n

She shared the family tribute and wrote the word \u2018crying\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Britt and Patrick!!! You both have taught me so much. I never knew how much dads wanted to be included in bath time, waking up from naps, or that they cared to know every little detail (fits, naps, how they ate\/poop etc) about their kids simply because they wanted to \u2013 even having the full days like you do.<\/p>\n

\u2018To so many, you\u2019re the #1 football player, but to three little ones, you\u2019re the #1 dad -and one of the most incredible fathers I\u2019ve had the privilege of working with and for.<\/p>\n

\u2018And Britt, you are the glue. The way you juggle it all with grace, little sleep, selflessness, and love is truly inspiring. You\u2019re an amazing mom, (like truly. Inspired how you do it all), a wonderful human, and a friend anyone would be lucky to have.<\/p>\n

\u2018I just can\u2019t say enough about the kind of people, parents, and role models you both are. This is just a little reminder to the world that kindness matters \u2013 and that Patrick is so much more than just a football player.\u2019<\/p>\n

Brittany shared the post to her Instagram story and added the caption: \u2018Crying\u2019.<\/p>\n

Artis wrote the post around the quotes Mahomes gave moments after the Super Bowl, where he took responsibility for his team\u2019s surprisingly poor display.<\/p>\n

\u2018They played better than us from start to finish,\u2019 Mahomes said. \u2018We didn\u2019t start how we wanted to.<\/p>\n

\u2018The turnovers hurt. I take all the blame for that. Those turnovers swing the moment of the game and they capitalized on them.<\/p>\n

It has recently emerged that Mahomes\u2019 grandfather now requires hospice care
\nMahomes took full responsibility for his team losing the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles<\/p>\n

\u2018They scored on one and got a touchdown immediately after another. That\u2019s 14 points I gave them.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s hard to come back from that in the Super Bowl. I didn\u2019t play to my standard and I have to be better next time.\u2019<\/p>\n

Mahomes also addressed fans on X, writing after the game: \u2018Appreciate all the love and support from Chiefs Kingdom.<\/p>\n
