Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>\u00a0offensive tackle\u00a0Lane Johnson<\/a>\u00a0isn\u2019t ready to commit to a White House visit following the Super Bowl 59 triumph.<\/p>\n Johnson and the Eagles defeated the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a040-22 in Super Bowl 59 to win their second Lombardi Trophy in eight seasons. Along with securing another championship, the Eagles denied the Chiefs of the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat.<\/p>\n Every year, the Super Bowl champions are invited to the White House to meet and celebrate with the President of the United States. But in 2018, then-president Donald Trump canceled the Eagles invitation.<\/p>\n Several players and owner Jeffrey Lurie vocally criticized Trump, who\u2019s serving his second term in office. Trump rescinded the invitation after multiple Eagles players said they wouldn\u2019t attend the White House.<\/p>\n Per Sportico\u2019s Eric Jackson, the Eagles team captain\u00a0expressed interest in going to the White House<\/a>\u00a0this time around. However, Johnson said it\u2019ll be \u201ca team decision\u201d, and that he\u2019ll go with they all decide.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d be honored to go, regardless of who the president is, but we\u2019ll see,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cIt\u2019s ultimately a team decision.
