President Donald Trump has spoken out after deciding to leave the biggest sporting event of the year early.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Super Bowl LIX<\/a>\u00a0was certainly one\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0fans won’t forget in a while as the Philadelphia Eagles beat\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a040-22 in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

We also had\u00a0Kendrick Lamar<\/a>\u00a0headlining the halftime show, which provided a ton of talking points surrounding the rapper’s\u00a0ongoing feud with Drake<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And on top of all that, we had the small matter of\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0becoming the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

But the 47th POTUS was seemingly not impressed with proceedings however, as he decided to leave the Caesars Superdome early.<\/p>\n

He explained on Truth Social: “The worst part of the Super Bowl, by far, was watching the Kickoff where, as the ball is sailing through the air, the entire field is frozen, stiff. College Football does not do it, and won\u2019t! Whose idea was it to ruin the Game?”<\/p>\n

The NFL’s Competition Committee implemented the new rule just this season, which the official NFL website states was introduced ‘to address the lowest kickoff return rate in NFL history during the 2023 season and an unacceptable injury rate on kickoffs’.<\/p>\n

After President Trump decided he was going to attend the 2025 Super Bowl, organizers had to heighten security, which was already high following an\u00a0attack in New Orleans<\/a>\u00a0on New Year’s Day that saw 14 people killed.<\/p>\n

In a statement before the game, Trump said: “I look forward to joining the fans in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX to cheer on two great teams – the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles – as they battle for the National Football League\u2019s Vince Lombardi Trophy.<\/p>\n

“The coaches, players, and team staff on the field tonight represent the best of the best in professional football, but they also embody the best of the American Dream.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir hard work, dedication, and tenacity is admirable, and their individual journeys are as inspiring as the drive and determination that has led them to this extraordinary moment.”<\/p>\n

The president added: \u201cThey also represent the hopes and dreams of our Nation\u2019s young athletes as we restore safety and fairness in sports and equal opportunities among their teams.<\/p>\n

“Football is America\u2019s most popular sport – for good reason – it fosters a sense of national unity, bringing families, friends, and fans together and strengthening communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis annual tradition transcends our differences and personifies our shared patriotic values of family, faith, and freedom heroically defended by our military service members, law enforcement officers, and first responders.<\/p>\n

“We value their devotion to protecting our great Nation and salute their selfless service.”<\/p>\n
